Adopt A Wild Animal for Conservation
Ranked #1,203 in Pets & Animals, #32,926 overall
Animal Adoption - A Way For Conservationists To Make A Difference
This lens lists a large number of charitable organizations that offer animal adoption.
Animal adoption has become a popular way of supporting charities that care for endangered and threatened species. By adopting a wild animal one can help finance conservation research, the upkeep of the animal, anti-poaching patrols, habitat protection and restoration, wild animal rescue, rehabilitation & reintroduction, education and political lobbying for species under threat.
Although animal adoption may sound like a conservation gimmick (it is in fact), the money the charities receive will go directly into conservation and animal welfare. Rather than waiting for change to come about through governments, why not make a difference yourself and support those who are on the front line of conservation by adopting a wild animal?
