Google Adsense is required to collect tax information from those who participate in the program.

Individuals and Businesses

If you're a business, you'll need to put your EIN number on your application.

If you're an individual, all you'll need is your social security number.

And if you don't have that info?

If you don't have that information when you initially sign up, you can still apply for the Google Adsense program.

But be advised that Google Adsense will withhold payments to you until they receive your tax information.

"That's kind of them..."

While Google does not withhold taxes or provide any tax advice, they will send you a 1099 once your earnings reach a certain amount.

Of course, if you are a Non-US business and have no activity in the United States, you will not need to provide this information.

RECOMMENDED READING!

I fully recommend "The Adsense Code", written by Joel Comm.

Joel is clearly one of the best people to listen to in the AdSense arena, and his expertize are obvious on every single page.

The more you learn about AdSense from Joel Comm the better.

(How I seriously boosted my AdSense earnings one day)

I got myself one of these things:

I found a thing called 'Dave's Cool Little Website'.

And it is very cool.

Basically, they will set up a website for me (and host it themselves) and I will earn money from loads of different places!

This is why they call it 'cool'.

My adsense ads are all over the site. So I earn money that way. And my clickbank links are there as well, so that pays REALLY well. And also the eBay referrals really add up.

To see the video I saw, check out the info page.

But here is how I earn money from this one site:

Google Adsense - My Cool Little Website is full of Google Adsense links. This little site has REALLY boosted my AdSense income.

Clickbank Affiliate Programs - My Clickbank ID is embedded into a clickbank directory, so people can find whatever product they want and I get something like $20 - $50!

eBay Auctions - My Cool Little Website lists live eBay auctions from all categories and the links have my affiliate ID in automatically, so eBay pay me a percentage of whatever sales they make. How cool is that?!

Also, check out the eBay misspelling tool. It's amazing!

All in all, I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with my cool little website, and it has really boosted my adsense earnings. You should give it a go.
