I want you to know this lens is a series of firsts for me: first coloring pages lens I've visited, first one I've Squidliked and the first one I've SquidAngel blessed. I know I can do this with a clear conscience, because you have offered legal images without copyright infringement. Lovely lens, thank you for sharing.

Great collection of resources for adults who love to color! I do it when I want to unwind. I pull out my Mandala coloring book, flip it open and pick the design that speaks to me. I put on my iPod loaded Deepak Chopra affirmations while i color, and pretty soon all is right with the world! Thanks for this great lens! - S

    im too lazy to read
  • sherioz Dec 30, 2011 @ 6:53 am | delete
You have so much here. I just came to see what I could learn about turning my own photos into colouring pages (caught the colouring pages bug here at squidoo) and found out that there are advanced colouring techniques! i had to bookmark this lens as there is too much for one sitting. Will probably print off a few pages for a rainy afternoon or when I'm watching TV and tired of trying to concentrate on making another lens at the same time.

Great Lens! It's so much more than just "coloring". I too know how to make the photo's into coloring pages with photo shop...since I've seen your lens, inspiration overwhelms me. Thanks again for your generosity. It absolutely amazes me.I too love Prisma Colored Pencils. Many years ago, I had a "moment" with a drawing in Prisma Pencils. The Prize was a place in our yearly Art's Magazine my college published. One of the best moments ever, kept me using my pencils,,,.still do. Thanks also for providing the free places to find great stuff.

  • gezzyka Jan 30, 2011 @ 2:10 pm | delete
My day job is creative, and I've found there's something so relaxing about coloring pages--I have a book full of mandalas that I use whenever I'm feeling stuck for ideas. It's nice to be able to be creative but with certain confines (like staying within the lines ;-)) instead of having a "sky's the limit" platform, sometimes. I really enjoyed this lens!
  • najem Jan 20, 2011 @ 3:17 am | delete
Wow! Really nice lens. I also enjoy coloring with my nephew, but now I will try alone..
  • wvclaylady Jan 13, 2011 @ 3:39 pm | delete
I have always enjoyed coloring, but I don't do it very often as an adult. I guess it's mainly because I just don't have the stuff handy, but I may print out some and take a trip back in time! I used to have a big abstract design coloring book, when I was a teen. I wonder what became of that thing? Hmm... I really enjoyed this lens, and wondering how you were able to split it into several pages? That's a neat feature, but I'm glad you pointed it out, because I might have missed the additional pages. :-)
  • magicgeniewishlist Jan 3, 2011 @ 5:34 am | delete

I do a lot of artwork on the computer and have recently gone back to the joy of a sketch book and colored pencils. Some of these coloring pictures would be fascinating as my "warm-up" or just for the pleasure of experimenting with color in some of the designs.
    Interesting!

This is fantastic! Thank you for the preview of the new page layout. I was very curious about how it would work and if it would be easy to navigate. Of course, your lens is superb, as always. Great information here!!

Coloring? For adults it is absolutely GREAT!!!! I find that it is very relaxing for you (mentaly and physically). You also get the marvelous chance to show off your creativity and the fantastic art you produce. Beside these benefits, it is a great way of adding to all those memories you have of coloring when you were younger! I have some very lovely memories I have made of coloring with my grandkids(they love to color too!). So grab your colored pencils, colors, markers or whatever and color to a brighter and lovelier life. Thank You. Diane

And, as another place to find more art - DeviantART has a culture of offering linearts for people to download, so a quick search for 'lineart' would give you quite a nice selection :D

When I stumbled upon a link on squidoo saying "adult coloring" I chuckled at first but now I'm glad I came across this. It has brought back many pleasant memories from my childhood and I think I'm going to pick up the old crayons, pencils and paint brushes and find my child coloring spirit again.

    Thankyou

This is awesome! I love to color as much now, at age 34, as I did when I was 4 years old. In fact, even more. Give me something to draw with, and I'm happily satisfied for hours. In fact, if I had to be stranded on an island and had to choose only ten things I could bring with me, a big box of crayons (or colored pencils) and drawing paper would definitely take up two spots. Five stars, a favorite and a lensroll to my How to Make a Wooden Canvas (the first in a series), and I'm definitely a fan.
  • Ramkitten Feb 28, 2009 @ 11:38 pm | delete
You're right; coloring is SO relaxing. And not just for kids! When I was hiking the Appalachian Trail, one of my fellow hikers received crayons and coloring books in a maildrop package. One chilly night, when we were all huddling in our tents, he invited a few of us to squish into his tent to color. We had the best conversation as we colored away! Next thing we knew, the sun was coming up.

Anyhow, great lens. I'm glad I stumbled upon your lenses via your profile, which I happened on in the Lensmaster Lounge. Now, to check out your others....

Nice lens. I want to know if there is such a thing as (fully) erasable colouring pencils. By erasable I mean just using an ordinary rubber that doesn't damage the paper. Or are we still lightyears away from finding a solution to this crucial problem

What a great idea. I'm a terrible car traveler and this could just be the answer. It's been years since I picked up a marker. The mandalas should take a bit of time to complete. I'm liking it. :)

Hey! Great lens! I wanna share some great stuff on guitar lessons dvd. Never buy DVDs that give you 'sample' lessons of everything without progression, or you will never learn how each guitar skill flows into the next. Check out more on guitar lessons dvd.
