    This is one tradition that has carried over since childhood in Germany, I have had an Advent Calendar every year since then...I love them, of course the ones from Germany are my absolute favorite, some of these can be found in the export stores like Pier 1

    Children love the anticipation of Christmas and the Advent Calendar helps them to see that time is passing and that Christmas will be here soon.

    These are cute. Ours is a Christmas tree with drawers, sort of like the canine one you've shown. Guess I'll be filling the drawers soon! Blessings to you.

    5 & a fav...I LOVE this time of year...preparing for Christmas...I grew up using an advent calendar and the count down was just thrilling! My kids enjoy theirs as well. What a great tradition to start if people haven't already...thanks!
