While it is your job to help your clients achieve their weight loss or fitness goals, and while you may enjoy helping them to get there, let's face it - you're in business to make money.
The only way to make money is if your clients keep coming back, and even better, if they refer their friends to you as well!

In order to stay afloat, you need a range of steady clients. So no matter how great you are, or how committed you are to helping your clients succeed, without them you will go nowhere.
* What if you were able to put together a killer workout that really motivated and excited your clients?
* What if your clients were so happy that you became the talk of the town?
* What if they were experiencing phenomenal results too?
* Even better, what if you were seen as an expert rather than "just" a Personal Trainer?
* What if you were able to generate a second income without working twice as much and you were able to keep your clients motivated even when you weren't around?
This is all possible, as you will soon discover as you keep reading.
Getting started as a Personal Trainer
Have you considered getting into the fitness industry?
If so, you probably know that obesity is a huge problem and has been for a while now, right? And by going into such an industry, you know your services will be in high demand, which is great for you!But to truly succeed as a personal trainer, there is more to it than just training clients each and every day. But of course you've got to start somewhere, right?
As the number of overweight or obese people grows, so does the demand for personal trainers. The personal training industry is growing at a phenomenal rate. According to CNN money the personal training industry is looking at a incredible 27% growth rate over the next 10 years. Being in this industry early can give you an edge to making some serious coin. So if you want to stand out from the crowd and attract more clients, there are a few things you must do:
1. Training
To be considered a credible personal trainer, it is important that you undertake adequate training so you can work with your clients to help them get great results. Having a personal training qualification under your belt will give your clients the peace of mind that they are working with somebody who is qualified to train them and help them get results.
For more information on how you can get qualified, visit:
2. Practice what you preach
Do you practice what you preach? Very few people would consider going to a personal trainer who is unfit or overweight, so now is the time to get yourself in shape so that you can be an inspiration to your clients!
3. Work like you're getting paid a lot more than you are

Advancing your personal trainer career
How do you advance your career as a personal trainer?
If you've been a personal trainer for a while and have clients who are experiencing good results, what's next for you? How do you advance your career as a personal trainer? You can go to your boss and ask for a pay rise, but how can you justify a pay rise to your boss, especially if money is tight?
You really do have to start doing things that make you stand out. Your boss should value what you do and if you are doing something that makes you stand out from the crowd, then you're more likely to get the career advancement you seek.
For an idea of what you can do to stand out from the crowd so you can advance your career as you wish, these ideas may help:
1. Education
In any business, furthering your education is a great way to advance your career. Are there any related courses or certificates you can do? The more qualified you are and the more knowledge you have, the better you will look to your prospective clients. This is especially true once you begin implementing your new knowledge into your training sessions. Provide additional service and value to your clients and they will recognize and appreciate this.
For some of the best education you can find go to
Advice for Personal Trainers where you will tons of high quality advice for Personal Trainers and Fitness Instructors.
2. Better job, job promotion or advancement
Once you have picked up some additional qualifications and have started implementing your new knowledge, you can approach your employer about advancement opportunities or even promotion. The better you look to your clients, the happier your employer will be! Alternatively, this might be your chance to start looking for a better job elsewhere.
Even during a recession, it's possible to remain in employment as long as you're making more money for your employer than you're costing them! This is important.
Having clients who are raving fans and constantly refer new business to you will obviously please your employer who will be crazy to let you go!
3. Educate Your Clients about the importance of their health
We are currently experiencing tough times, and while there is a definite need for personal trainers, many people are struggling to pay their bills.
Most people will cut out spending on non-essential items in such times, and if they believe their investment in their health and fitness is not an essential item, then they will stop spending money on it. That's not good news for you.
This is why it is up to you to educate your clients about the importance of their health and fitness and how essential it is that they keep their health and fitness as one of their top priorities.
Most people without realizing it waste a ton of money on things they don't need. If you're able to convince them that they need your services more than they need that new pair of shoes or plasma TV, then they will stick with you.
Keeping your job and advancing your career during these tough times will depend partly on the financial situation of your employer, but more importantly, on your performance.
If you're able to generate phenomenal results for your clients and they keep coming back for more, then your employer will do whatever they can to keep you around.
Advancing your career as a personal trainer is something that can really make a difference in your life, both financially and personally.
You may also want to consider at this time the possibility of starting your own personal training business. This will allow you more flexibility, and most definitely the means to blow your income out of the water!
Amp Up Your Personal Training Business
Taking your personal training career to the next level
Everybody's dream is to work less and make more money, but for most, this remains just a dream. But for you this doesn't have to be the case and can in fact become your reality.Once you know the strategies to get you to where you want to go, by implementing them you may very well change your life!
There are many business and wealth creation strategies with the potential to bring you overwhelming success. One such strategy is based on leverage.
America's first billionaire, John D Rockefeller once said "I would rather have 1% of the efforts of 100 men than 100% of my own efforts".
This guy was definitely on to something, and many millionaires and billionaires after him have employed this concept of leverage in their own businesses with much success. Honestly, when I realized the power of leverage and put it to use my income soared.
You can apply leverage to your time, money and/or people in various ways. For example, if you were to hire a couple of personal trainers to work for you, then you are able to charge the client a fee, of which you get a percentage - even though you did none of the "real" work.
Taking your personal training business to the next level should be about making more money right? But how do you go about doing that?
1. You can charge more per hour.
2. You can work more hours.
3. You can make focus on building a residual income stream.
If you decide to put up your prices, your clients must be prepared to pay more for this to work. You need to certain that you are worth the extra pay raise.
Alternatively, if you choose to implement a system to make money via a residual income stream, then your options are almost limitless.
For example, create an eBook and set up an automatic email system that educates your clients on a chosen topic. Build the system right and this cash machine can run day and night with little or no effort from you. I love using automated cash machines to increase my income.
Alternatively you could provide nutritional products such as supplements and health products to help your clients achieve their weight loss or bodybuilding goals. You could even use the internet to sell exercise equipment through affiliate links earning you a monthly commission check.
A residual income is one that allows you to get paid multiple times on the same effort.
What's great about generating a residual income like the examples discussed here, is that you can literally make money while you sleep! I can honestly say that waking up in the morning and having made money while I have slept is a great start to the day.
Imagine going away on that holiday or even spending day after day lazing in your hammock, knowing that you're getting paid for it! Very few people can say they've ever experienced this, but if you're reading this, then you're at least one step closer to doing so than most.
If you've not done so already, now is the time to get your website set up and start capturing names and email addresses of prospective clients. A website is the key to creating residual income because, in most cases, it can be set up to completely run itself. I have developed many systems that do just that and if you would like to do this as well be sure to sign up for my Personal Trainer Business Bootcamp
If you're selling eBooks, all your prospective clients have to do is click on the buy link, pay for the eBook, and then wait for it to arrive via email. Once you have set up your system, this transaction would require absolutely no effort from you because the eBook is emailed automatically!
Taking your personal training career to the next level will require some work to get set up, but if you have somebody who can show you exactly how it's done, then it won't seem as overwhelming as it probably does now.

Making it big time as a personal trainer
Running a fitness bootcamp makes it easy to...
If you truly want to make it big as a personal trainer, then you really should consider owning your own business, if you haven't done so already. Once you have your own personal training business, you have the potential to earn as much as your imagination can allow.Few people get rich by working for somebody else trading their time for money. For these people, there really is no way to make more money, except by working extra hours. But we all know there are only 24 hours in a day, so you're limited. And really, shouldn't your goal be to work less?
The beauty of having your own business is that you can work from anywhere you want, you can choose your own hours, and if you have implemented some killer income-producing strategies, you only need to work a few hours a week to run your successful business.
Over time, you will find your business is making six or seven figures a year. What's amazing is that you will be making this money while doing much less than when you first started out as a personal trainer!
This is truly the stage where you've made it big time as a personal trainer. You're helping your clients to achieve phenomenal results and they can't get enough of you. They want to deal with you and only you.
You now have the choice to turn clients away if you wish. You're in total control of your business and can do whatever you want.
Now that your finances are doing great and you're only working a few hours a week, you have the freedom to take time off to spend with your family and friends, go on holidays, or just spend a day relaxing in the sun. This is a good time to buy that sports car you always wanted.
Whatever you want to do, you can now afford to do it.
You will be the envy of all of those around you because you will be living the life that people dream of.
Making it big time as a personal trainer does not involve working all day every day training clients, as you can now see. There are many strategies available that allow you to generate an income with minimal effort, but with huge potential rewards, that will have you set for life.
But first you have to find a suitable strategy that once implemented, will allow you to live this type of lifestyle.
The key to finding such as strategy is to find one that has been created by somebody who has already lived a life of struggle and hardship and who has learned the skills to become super successful.
You need somebody who can show you how they got there, and somebody who understands the challenges you face.
Learning from somebody who has done it all before and is living the life you would love to lead is an important requirement. You certainly don't want to learn from somebody who is working full time and earning less than you are, right?
