This is a follow-up to my lens on Introduction to affiliate marketing: in simple layman language. To recap, online affiliate marketing is the activity of selling someone else's products using the Internet as the medium of sales. And "digital products" are Internet versions of products. An example is e-book. Instead of existing as a physical form, it resides in your computer's hard disk. A good source for the affiliate marketer to get digital products is Clickbank. And one way to market this product is through Google's Adwords.
As an affiliate marketer, there are many ways to market the products you're representing. This lens gives you an insight into Clickbank and discusses how you can sell the products that you have selected through Google's Adwords - even if you don't have your own website. There are many living Internet millionaires who will tell you that they became rich just selling other people's products. Examples of establised affiliate marketers are Kyle & Carson (WealthyAffiliate University) , Ewen Chia (AutoPilot Profit) and Rosalind Gardner (SuperAffiliate Handbook). Many Internet millionairs started from a humble background. And many successful ones went on to create their own digital products and in the process became even better known and made even more money. One of the favourite products I like to promote is "Weight Loss 4 Idiots". So I will use this as an example of how the combination of Clickbank and Adwords can be used by the online affiliate marketer to promote and sell this product. So read on...
As I've said, we'll see how the Clickbank-Adwords combination can be used profitably by taking the example of someone trying to sell a product called Fat Loss 4 Idiots. The question is: How do you go about promoting this product that you have selected to sell. There are many, many ways. This lens deals with marketing the selected product through Google's Adwords. Visit the Google website and click on Advertising Programs. Google Adsense on the right of the new window is for web publishers (Adsense will be the subject of another lens). The focus of this lens is on Google Adwords on the left side of the new window. "Reach people when they are actively looking for information about your products and services online, and send targeted visitors directly to what you are offering," says the Adwords screen. "With AdWords cost-per-click pricing, it's easy to control costs - and you only pay when people click on your ad." Read on on for Part II
THE best way to learn what Adwords is all about is to sign up for a free Adwords account. Cost-per-click pricing means you pay only when someone clicks on your ads, the format of which is akin to what you see in a classified ad in the newspapers. You can of course set your own budget. Regardless of what your budget is you can display your ads on Google and its advertising network (if you see Google ads on the right side of this lens or below, they are examples of affiliate marketers trying to sell their products using Google Adwords. When you launch an ad campaign, Adwords will ask you what title you want to give and how you want to word your ad. Internet users discover your ads when they make searches. This requires skills on your part to use targeted key words. To simplify matter, let's say you use key words "weight loss". There will be a match when the web user searches for "weight loss". The position of your ad on the screen depends on your ad bids. A user clicking on your ad will be brought to either to a "landing page" you created to pre-sell the features of your product or directly to the product owner's page selling the product. Your commission will come from successful sales. So there you are: this is a Clickbank-Adwords combination at work. The other modules that accompany this lens introduce you to Amazon books and other affiliate marketing products that will help you kickstart your Internet marketing ambition. Please take your time to explore them. Wishing you all the best in your online affiliate marketing ventures.
Now that you know Google Adwords and Clickbank are a powerful combination to make handsome profits, the next question is how to launch yourself to make money online. Knowing that Google Adwords and Clickbank is a powerful profit combination doesn't mean you're all ready to make tidy profits this way. It's like soccer. If you know the rules of soccer and enjoy watching a match, it doesn't mean that you know how to play soccer. To know soccer is one thing but to play it is another. You need to acqure the skills.

Most of the top selling ebook writers in the Marketing & Ads category on Clickbank started out in affiliate marketing. But when they get opt-in lists numbering above 5,000 or so--they get thinking... If I develop a product of my own I could recruit an affiliate army myself and let them promote my book. Posted August 04, 2008 |

Great if you are brave enough to try Adwords; I prefer to rely on free traffic. It is more time-consuming but safer when you don't have a big advertising budget to work on. Posted July 05, 2008 |

Great information you have in your lens on how to promote ClickBank products using Google Adwords. If the correct Adwords techniques are used, it can really bring one lots of commissions selling ClickBank products. I've given your lens a 5 star rating. By the way, I've just created a lens on affiliate marketing - where I've answered questions that most people have when they are looking to start off with affiliate marketing. You may want to consider adding your lens to my Internet Marketing directory which I've created and give you more traffic to your lens. Hope to see you there! :) Posted May 28, 2008 |
