Better than an espresso machine, better than a drip coffee maker

The Aerobie aeropress is brillant device for crafting fine coffee drinks.  It takes the principal of the french press and turns it on its head while solving its major flaw.  If you like espresso, latte or cappucino you should give this brewing method a try.  The AeroPress makes  a smooth almost sweet and very strong brew that is very much like espresso.  This is a great option for making espresso drinks at home -- for those who don't want to spend big bucks for a decent espresso maker.

Here it is in action:

....mmm, you can almost smell it

This video shows all the simple steps needed to make some wonderful coffee with this device. What isn't shown is that the recommended temperature for the water is 165-175 degrees Fahrenheit. After a few trial runs it is easy to get this temperature with a kettle or in the microwave. The top part of the aeropress (the plunger) is hollow and can be used to measure water. It can also be used in the microwave to heat the water - eliminating the need for a kettle or another vessel
