How's Your Affiliate Marketing Going?
Learning affiliate marketing can be tricky....and trying to help a large group of people learn affiliate marketing can be really tricky, too. I like to touch base with my friends and see how it's going so I can figure out how to help you better in the future.
If you have a few spare minutes, could you answer the following 11 questions for me please?
All responses in the poll area are anonymous so feel free to be honest. If you'd like to publicly expand on your answers, feel free to use the comment areas located throughout this page.
I appreciate your time very much!
1. Your Earnings
2. How Long Have You Been Working Online?
3. Your First Sale

Tell Your First Sale Story
I remember my first sale... a whopping $7.00! But you woulda thought I hit the lottery ;)
It was a defining moment for me, tho... If I could make $7.00, then I could make anything I put my mind to.
Want to share the story of your first sale and what it meant to you? I'd love to hear it!
(please, no affiliate links or self-promotional links...thank you)

- My first sale came with using one week marketing and with the help from a friend. He helped me put up my first true one week marketing campaign and i believe in a week maybe more I had my first sale. That campaign was my first and only successful campaign but I have taken a substantial break. Getting back on the band wagon soon though!

- I do actually make my living online and have done for the past 10 years, just kept quiet about it and got on with it, my general advice to anyone is that it requires hard work to make it work, and when it does that’s when the fun starts. Nice Lens I am a FAN.

4. How Much Do You Need?
I remember when I was learning affiliate marketing that I would look at the income screenshots of the "gurus" and think...
"If I could only make a percentage of that, I could pay my bills and not have to get a 'real' job".
What is that amount for you?
5. Your Investments
We buy training, and tools, and domain names, and all kinds of stuff in our industry.....
6. Your Biggest Issue
7. Your RoadBlocks

It's different for all of us, but we each will find there is one thing that is like a brick wall for us.

- My biggest problem is with staying modivated and quiting. I have had success with internet marketing but for whatever reason that was in my mind, I gave up on it. I know it makes no sense but I have decided to go at it again with all ive got.

- Don't have a lot of time to work on this right now. I ended up having to raise my Granddaughter. I've had her since she was 3 weeks old, now she 9 months old.

- well up till recently, it was really a solid working plan. there is so much bs out there for newbies. i feel i have turned a corner though as traffic has risen, i have a high ranking niche site in the serps, i am getting click throughs and there is some really great content.. so perhaps i think a schedule is what i need, but for me working alone i found figuring what i needed to be doing was more important. then the plan. any suggestions?

- I find mass confusion in this as I get side tracked by all the add ons getting cluttered with ads from others promoting their products. When starting out, I'm working on getting the affiliate program going but as I take action it seems I get derailed by missing an action step or taking an action step that is from something other than the program I'm working on. How do you sort out all the distractions?

10. Problems With the 8 Steps
To me, the basic affiliate marketing sales process breaks down into 8 steps. While product first/market first is a "chicken or the egg" type question, for this poll we will start with finding the product you want to sell and then take it from there.
11. Why?

Anything You'd Like To Add?
Feel free to speak openly about affiliate marketing... it could not only help me learn how to teach better, you could help others who are in the same situation as yourself.

- I need to be virtually walked through the process until see the first sale. I'll need to ask "why" questions every step of the way. But when I've done it once and the jigsaw puzzle all connects in my mind, then I will run like a thoroughbred. I just need to go round the track slowly the first time!

- Im finding the hardest part being which way to go. Whenever I sit down to learn, I am bombarded with offers which offer to teach me on another site while all the time wanting me to part with money to teach me how. I want to succed but there is a long steep learning curve.

- Though the learning curve seems infinite to me at this stage, I'm determined. The hardest thing is just not knowing what definite action to take next. Whenever i sit down to learn, I am bombarded with offers to learn on yet another site which takes my time. I want to learn in one place, systematically. I know how to ask questions on Google and just joined W.A. tonight, so I am hopeful.

- Thank you for the great poll / survey. Lots of thought provoking questions and information to think about and reflect on. As a retired Administrative Assistant and newbie to affiliate marketing, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at times with staying focused on the step-by-step and the 'what's-next-process, so I am working slowly - finding products, getting my lenses set up and double checking all of it. Thanks again, Jennifer

- Great poll squidoo!
Care to hear my comments? The challenge for me is figuring out if I am doing it right.
Keywords and competition, really clearing understanding how this works.
There are so many ways to do things, yet everyone says their way is right. Even which modules to add in squidoo are the best?
Sure it takes time and patience but then there are those who do it wrong, yet manage to get it right in a short amount of time (they make money)
Please someone tell me how this is possible?
Feeling like a tiny drop of water in this vast ocean of overwhelming knowledge.
Saying all this, I love researching, writing reviews and learned about all the amazing products out there, and yes the marketing too.
I want to see the light at the end of the tunnel! Even a speck, would be amazing!
