The Truth about Affiliate Marketing

Folks, I'm going to give it to you straight.

Most people don't have what it takes to be successful with affiliate marketing.

Maybe they have had bad experiences with online rip-offs, maybe they don't have the time, maybe they don't have the dedication and steadfastness to apply themselves and stick with it, maybe they dream of working for themselves but don't know how to make it happen. Which one applies to you?

As with any profession, it takes certain qualities to be successful in Affiliate marketing. Skills can be taught/learned, while qualities cannot. You may fool yourself and decide that you have what it takes, but in the end you will only be hurting yourself, and you may become one of the many others who claim that it is impossible to make money online.

So be honest with yourself, and as I stated earlier, Affiliate Marketing is NOT for everyone. There is nothing to be ashamed of, it may be that some other opportunity may be a better match.

To be successful in this field the basic qualities you MUST possess:

Persistence - There are times when things may not go as planned, but you must not give up.

Patience - Things may not progress as quickly as you would like them to, you will not get rich overnight.

Determination - You have to stay diligent in your efforts, do not let your goals fade away.

Consistency - This isn't an auto-pilot business, you must keep up your efforts if you are be successful.

This is by no means a complete list of the qualities you need, this is just to give you an idea of where you stand.

"Don't believe everything you hear." Ring a bell? You may or may not believe me when I tell you this: "Affiliate Marketing IS REAL". The only way for YOU to find out is to see for YOURSELF.

However, be warned, there are people/companies out there that will try to take advantage of people that are trying to make an honest effort to make affiliate marketing work.

If you really think you are ready and you have what it takes to become an Affiliate Marketeer, then the first thing you should do is to locate a reputable affiliate community.

This community should be your "one stop shop" and supply you with everything you need to hit the ground running. From taking the beginner and teaching the "ropes" all the way to advanced multiple campaign endeavors.

After a brief search on the web you may have noticed that there are, shall we say "numerous" affiliate marketing sites. Well I'm going to help you with that one.
