Welcome to my Affiliate Outlook lens. I created this lens with the intention of passing on some of my affiliate marketing knowledge to you guys here on squidoo. In this lens, you'll find all the information you need in order to start an affiliate marketing business without spending a dime.

If you are new to the world of affiliate marketing, I'll give you a real brief overview of how it works. As an affiliate marketer your job is to promote other peoples products and/or services, you earn money each time one of your visitors makes a purchase. When done correctly, it can be a very, very lucrative business.

So, what exactly do you need to become an Affiliate marketer?

All you really need is a good imagination, determination, and dedication. Overall, you must be dedicated to your affiliate marketing business. If you don't spend at least 2 to 3 hours on your business daily, you will more than likely fail at affiliate marketing.

That's it. You don't need to own a computer or even run your own website these days to make money with affiliate marketing! Everything that you are going to need, you already have... Well, maybe not everything. But don't worry, the things you don't have, you can acquire in a matter of minutes, ABSOLUTELY FREE! And I'm going to show you exactly how.

Let's start by making a list of the things you need for your affiliate marketing business:

*A Blog

*A Topic that you wish to Blog about.

*Access to a computer for a couple hours a day.

*A few Affiliate Programs.

Your Blog.

To run your blog, I recommend that you use Blogger. It's powered by Google , is absolutely free and is widely known for it's user friendly interface. In order to use blogger, you will need to have your own Google account. If you don't already have one, get one here before we continue.

Now that that's out of the way, we're ready to head on over to Blogger.com and set up our Blog. Once you've got your Google account, the process for setting up your blogger blog is very simple, all you need to do is: go to www.blogger.com and follow their step by step instructions.

Your Blog Topic.

Your blog can be about whatever you want, just make sure you select something you'll be able to update on a frequent basis. You might also want to check to see if there are any affiliate programs available relating to your subject.

Access to a computer.

You don't need to own a computer. All you need is access to one for a couple of hours a day. If your local library provides computers with internet access, you're in luck! You can take advantage of this free service and build/run your affiliate marketing business right from the library! Of course, if you do it properly, you should be able to buy your own PC or Notebook in no time.

Affiliate Programs.

In order to get paid as an affiliate marketer, you will need to sign up for a couple affiliate programs. Most affiliate programs are free to join and can easily be found by conducting simple searches in Google. Lets say that you're looking for an affiliate program relating to computer software, you would go to Google and type in: computer software affiliate programs, PC software affiliate programs, etc...

You need to do some research on the companies you plan to advertise for, don't just sign up for the first one you come across. You might also want to take the time to join a few online communities/forums that deal directly with affiliate marketing. Forums can be a great resource, and can even help you make your decision on which affiliate program to join.
