Learn HTML for free with the great resources I've discovered, and create your web pages easily with the best WYSIWYG Editor - and amazingly it's also free. (I have demo-tested many of the high-priced ones, and NVU is actually better than the high-dollar ones I tried. Crazy world, huh?)
Learn HTML For Free & Download A WYSIWYG HTML Editor Free, too.
Where to find the free resources to build your websites affordably
Creating a website can be a very satisfying experience after you know a little more about HTML. You can learn it for free in many places I discovered while researching and I'll put them all in the Link List for you so you can visit any or all of them.
Each of the free HTML tutoring sites has a little different approach, but all have terrific no-cost information that will help you learn whatever you want to learn and need to know about html, even a web-based tutorial that is actually a "hands on" learning tool... you can test your new HTML skills immediately after you learn, chapter by chapter ... all within your web browser! There is no need to go fiddle with other applications while you are learning HTML code. See Dave's HTML Code Guide in the link list.
And how about tools... I like the GOOD, high-quality, free stuff myself, for those on a very limited budget that want to get started marketing online and NVU has the coolest free WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) HTML Editor I've ever found. It doesn't add all that funky extra code like Front Page does, it doesn't mess up the PHP coding if you use it to edit pages with PHP scripting in them, it doesn't mess up javascript code, and it's got tons of built-in features.
Why would you want to use a WYSIWYG Editor? Well, if you are a visual person and like to see what you are creating right as you create it instead of messing with code and then opening a viewer, then it just makes perfect sense. Or, if you are a newbie, you wouldn't know how to use notepad to create or edit HTML for a site, but with NVU - you can see it while you create it.
By using high quality, free resources, you will have more of your marketing budget left to pay for hosting, promotion and educational products you'll need to get started on the right foot, instead of going deeply into debt before you make your first dollar online.
Have a stellar day!

Captivate isn't FREE but wow is it ever amazing software!
I tested Captivate when I was looking for a good video creation tool. I finally ended up with Camtasia, although the editor in Captivate is superior (in ease of editing)and the final decision maker was that I could not get audio to record in Captivate, no matter what I did or where I researched the problem.

Perhaps eBay Has Web Design & Graphics Software or Books
Often you can find software & books a lot cheaper here.
I frequently search eBay for software, ebooks, regular books or anything related to web designing, artistic or creative graphics tips, and often find discounted but still quality items. Just be sure you check the seller's feedback... you want to be sure you are buying from a reputable dealer, regardless of where you shop.
Depending on availability, there may be no auctions related to this Squidoo Lens subject.
