My African Violet Pots Are the best and here's why

Read my shameless self-promotion about what makes my artisan hand made African Violet Pots among the finest you'll ever find.

This illustrated lens explains what a self watering African violet pot is and how they work.

I'll also explain why I think mine are the best, where you can purchase them and even how you can special order African violet pots made to your specifications in the color of your choice.

All about African Violet Pots by Robnzak

Hand Made Violet Pots & Planters

You'll find a huge variety of beautiful violet pots on eBay. Some are commercially made, others, like mine are lovingly hand made one at a time.

Most share the common basic shape and size suitable for violets, but there is one subtle difference that I believe make mine stand out from the crowd...Quality.

All my pots and planters are made only from the finest, purest clay available on the market today and I add brighteners and strengthening agents to the clay specially formulated from over 30 years of experience to insure life-long durability.

Color glazes are chosen to compliment the plants. Most importantly, all my glazes are non-toxic, lead-free and environmentally friendly. I achieve a rich vibrant finish with a careful blending of color tones that is unique to my pottery work so no two pots will ever be exactly the same, and each one is carefully hand decorated with original designs so you're not just purchasing a flower pot, you're buying an original work of art.

Violets are easy to grow but do require a little special care.
Violets hate getting their leaves wet, and need lots of water, but do not like the soil too damp.
My violet pots are self-watering containers that allow the plant to consume the proper amount of water without risk of wetting the foliage.

The self-watering pot has two parts. The water base and an insert planter. The base is completely glazed to hold water, while the insert is glazed only at the top for decorative purposes, the bottom is left in a state of 'bisque' that sits inside the base to absorb the water.

The care and attention to detail given to my original violet pots means you can be assured you're buying the very best.

Hi, I'm Rob and I've been "altering mud" for over three decades turning piles of dirt into beautiful and functional art.

My friends are all actors, singers, & musicians...which is kind of weird because I can't act, sing, or play a musical instrument...but they all put up with my obvious flaws.

I'm an artist, photographer, lover of dogs, cats and occasionally...people.

I'm very involved in fund-raising for a nonprofit organization and an independent theater company.

In other words a man of no particular single great talent, but rather a man of several minor ones.
