Safari Vacations

Safari vacations in Africa are generally in Sub-Saharan Africa; traditionally the majority of such vacations were in Kenya, Tanzania, or South Africa, with a lot of tourists opting for a beach and safari trip involving several days of sun-bathing followed by a couple of days in a convoy of mini-buses. This is not the optimum way to see the wonderful wildlife and now there are many more adventurous vacations available in such places as the Okavango Delta in Botwana, Etosha in Namibia (see articles below)
While the beach/safari trip is a great introduction to Africa staying in a good luxury lodge gives a far better insight into this fascinating country or camping
and walking safari would give a more affordable if terrifying experience. I have tried both.

Cultural and sight-seeing trips in North Africa

Northern African countries are quite a contrast to their southern neighbours. Vacations in Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia are usually more about sight seeing, history and culture: Step back in time on a Nile cruise in Egypt or spend a few days experiencing the Arabian culture in Marrakech, Morocco.
