After Forever
Hailing from The Netherlands, After Forever was part of a wave of excellent symphonic, sometimes "gothic", metal music that continues to gain popularity. Floor Jansen led the group with her powerful and soaring soprano vocals. Sander Gommans and Bas Maas made up the axegrinding section, with Luuk Van Gerven on bass. Andre Borgman drove the beat on drums and Joost van den Broek dished out the keyboad insanity. Fans in the United States got their first live taste of AF when they went on their first North American tour. They were a featured band at the 2008 Progpower USA festival in Atlanta, Georgia.
