Our Mission is to End World Hunger. We do not imagine we can do it alone but we know we can with every ones help. Any one who wants to be involved in ending world hunger can join our group.

If you have a project that you are currently running or have an idea for a project then announce your project or idea here. You can register a project in our database at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/againsthunger/database and if approved we will add it to our project database at http://www.againsthunger.net If you just want to look around you can login using the user id guestuser and password guestuser or create your own ID. You can also register to assist in other projects offering your services or even financial support.

A project can be run by just one individual who is raising money to feed just one child for a short period of time to a program with 100's of people who are raising funds to feed millions of people over a long period of time.

Anyone who has a project to help end world hunger should register it so they can seek help from the team and bring awareness to their cause.

We are a working group and all our volunteers may participate in projects by providing information, assistance, time and resources. Each established project will have it's own database, forum, progress reports, tracking and monitoring charts to run the project.

What we are doing is allowing every one who is working on a method to end hunger and poverty to come together as one team and leverage off each other.

One key from my own experience is to focus on 2-3 charities at first. There is a huge temptation to try to help everyone. Take one charity at a time and assist as you can. Over the years I have overbooked myself on a occassion or two. Try to avoid this less gets done which means fewer people get the assistance they need.
