If you learn one thing about Christian community ., I hope it's this
Is it by your career? Your house? Your car? Your bank account? Maybe your friends?
Really? Is that what you think success is?
To the world the answer to this question is YES. To the world, material possessions and worldly items determine a mans success.
But what does success mean to God?
Obeying the word. That's success. Witnessing to others every possible opportunity. That's success. Fellowshipping with others. That's success. Striving to be more like Christ. That's success
Are you in the world or of the world?
Matthew 6:19-21 says,
"Do not gather and heap up and store up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust and worm consume and destroy, and where thieves break through and steal. But gather and heap up and store for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust nor worm consume and destroy, and where thieves do not break through and steal; For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
Jesus himself told us not to store it all up down here. Yet we do. We worry more about keeping up with the family next door, then witnessing to that family. We have to out do each other ALL THE TIME!!
I feel the Lord is saying enough is enough. Life is not a game of who can have the most toys when they die.
Life is about so much more. God created us to glorify Him. To fellowship with Him. So why aren't we?
Friends we have our eyes set on worldly possessions instead of focusing on Jesus. Our whole reason for being here and we somehow have forgotten about Him.

Sound off!
Do you consider yourself a true christian? Or someone who goes to church on Sunday to be with your friends or your groups? Statistics say that 70 to 80 percent call our selves Christians yet most don't even act like Christians. Ask yourself would you stop and help someone with a flat tire even if you have extra time? Or do you think because you go to church on Sunday and have lunch with friends you are a christian? Do you share in the word of the lord with others or do you think it is not your position? I don't understand those who show up at church then at lunch run others into the ground putting themselves above others. Yet call themselves true Christians.

My 1st poem & my testimony
I was once living in a world of drugs
Smoking and drinking not caring who I was
The devil had my life and a good hold on me
I was fighting a battle that I just couldn't see
I smoked all day and I smoked all night
I prayed when I finished because I knew it wasn't right
But soon as I got money I started again
Not realizing I was lost in sin
I still prayed to the Lord Jesus Christ
Praying that the Lord would change my life
My family turned their backs on me
My children's dad he just let me be
So I stayed away doing my thing
Smoking and drinking every day the same
I lost everything that I ever had
My life started to look really bad
But one day the Lord had mercy on me
He answered my prayers and he set me free
I'm filled with the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues
and now I have the power to make that dirty old devil run
