In the realm of online games, an exploit is usually a software bug, hack or bot that contributes to the user's prosperity in a manner not intended by the developers.

What is or is not considered an exploit varies between games and developers. The EULA (End-User License Agreement) typically states what type of gameplay is not acceptable. Thus, some developers may consider AFK gameplay to be an exploit, while others may not.

Known types of exploits in Age of Conan

Speed Hacking/Teleporting/Subterrain Travel - If character position in age of conan is determined by the client side (usually not the case), it is possible for players to send out artificial positional data and be instantly transported to any part of the world or used to speed up traveling speed by increasing positional deltas.

Holes - Some games may contain accidental holes in the map, allowing the player to get under the map. Holes are mostly harmless, although some use them in player vs. player situations to sneak around and get behind their opponent.

Botting - A player who runs a third party program to control their character. The bot will kill monsters, loot money, mine ore, collect herbs or gain levels automatically without the player having to be in front of the computer.

Duping - Duplicating, or replicating items or money.

Game Mechanics Exploits / Bug Exploits - There are also other exploits involving the physics of the game, sometimes in conjunction with items. This includes using wall-walking to get into unfinished areas or abilities to make one's character unattackable by mobs or other players and sometimes are able to attack back.

Data Mining - This is typically most common around the time that a patch is released on the public test realm of Age of Conan. Players will try to access files not yet in game and then host them on websites to expose content not yet released (usually new zones, items, and graphics).

AoC Exploits: Kill X mobs quest completion



I am not calling this an exploit, it may be just a bug.

While doing part of the destany quest line under the Temple of Mitra, I had to save 5 citizens.
I killed the first few mobs at the entrance and was able to save two citizens.
I decided to turn right and jump down to the lower level where I saved 1 more citizen.
I couldn't save the last two citizens on the upper tier because the lower area was separated from the upper by a gate.
I decided to hearth and reenter the instance.
After I reentered the instance, I found the initial 2 citizens were reset but the enemy mobs weren't.
I ran up to them, saved them, and completed the quest.

I assume you can do this for other kill X or save X type quests.
Enter instance, kill to first few mobs, leave instance, come back and repeat.

Fast ToS Gold + Tradable Blues in Epic Khes
ToS can solo farm Epic Khessata bosses (you climb up terrain and use cyclones to keep bosses aggro and out of reach). The nice thing is these boss drop 50s+ and about 50% of the time drop tradable blues and epics that can be sold on AH. It is about 50% since half of the sets drops are tradable. On any run I've done at least half the drops were tradable.

When i have some time I can provide a map of boss locations and show u where u can climb up.

This is all over the forums, but you can cancel any combo before the animation is complete and have no cooldown on the ability, the mob doesn't suffer a stun immunity. This means you can keep mobs stun-locked/permanently knocked back.

It's god mode PvE. Doesn't seem to work in PvP.
