I picked up my love of gardening from my mother. As a child I was always watching her take care of her flowers, lawns and trees. When I got my first apartment there were house plants everywhere and a balcony full of tubs and hanging flowers. I did not realize then that I had a passion for gardening. Years went by and finally I owned a house, my time to experiment with all different kinds of plants, flowers, fruit tree's etc. Eventually roses became my passion. At one time I had over 130 roses at my house in Pleasanton, CA. Up until last year I used various chemical fertilizers with what I thought was great success. Last year I decided to try Aggrand Natural Fertilizer. After all I am an Amsoil Dealer, I can get the product for cost, and actually I have had the product on hand for a few years. I just never really used it as my normal everyday fertilizer.
After moving from my Pleasanton home to a new home in Brentwood CA, I was faced again with a backyard of dirt and weeds. So I went about .planting, preparing soil, landscaping and so forth. Finally it was landscaped and all the irrigation was in place. We have extremely hot summers here, so water is the top priority. I planted a number of fruit trees at this house, two types of Cherry trees, two types of Peach trees, an Anna Apple, Apricot tree and Concord Grape vine. The first year I didn't expect much, and I got absolutely nothing. I used my normal tried and true fertilizers that year. The 2nd year instead of making a trip to the garden store one day, I had a case of the Aggrand 4-3-3 natural fertilizer in my garage and I decided to use it.
Early spring was upon me and the fruit trees were just beginning to bud. I put the Aggand 4-3-3 in my all purpose sprayer and applied Aggrand. To my amazement several weeks later I had so many blooms on my fruit trees it was miraculous. A month later I applied the Aggrand 4-3-3 again. The Anna Apple tree had produced so much fruit I had to thin out 2/3 of it. I wanted to make sure that the apples would not do an apple drop in June. Not only didn't the tree lose any apples, I ended up with a tree full of huge delicious apples. I had read and read on the internet about Anna Apple trees and that you had to be very careful with them for the fruit to produce and mature. Well I can only attribute my success to the Aggrand 4-3-3. The same thing happened to my peach trees. Massive amounts of fruit, when the season before they produced only a few peaches and they all dropped off when they were the size of quarter. That brings me to my apricot tree. I planted it as bare root in early spring 2008. It never leafed out. It just looked like a dead twig for the entire summer. I gave it some Aggrand around the end of July, and to my surprise it actually leafed out in August. Spring of 2009 it leafed out at the normal time but no flowers or fruit. That's Ok, because the tree tripled in size this year, and I can't wait until next spring to see what happens. Speaking of size, one of the Peach trees that produced baskets and baskets of peaches also triple maybe even quadrupled in size from 2008 through the growing season of 2009; so after having had the Aggrand 4-3-3 around my house for several years and never using it, Spring of 2009 results have made me a total believer. Not only did I use it on my fruit trees, I used it on all my vines, flowers and shrubs. The result was all my landscaping grew like crazy.

The ever-increasing cost of oil and natural gas has affected everyone, but it has completely overwhelmed the Agricultural community. The major raw materials used in the production of fertilizer are hydrocarbon sources (mainly natural gas), and because the price of natural gas is influenced by rising crude oil prices as industrial and commercial users substitute among energy sources, this planting season has been especially trying due to spiking fertilizer costs. The cost of fertilizer has been rising even more dramatically than fuel prices. According to the U.S. Department
of Agriculture, farmers paid an average of 65 percent more for fertilizer in April 2008 than they did the previous year. Add higher fuel prices to the mix, and costs for farmers have been overwhelming. Many farmers who have traditionally used chemical fertilizers can no longer afford them and simply go without. For example, a Carleton, Minn. farmer used chemical fertilizer to plant about 100 acres of corn on his farm in 2007, but he couldn't see the point this year considering the expense.
Nearly every type of fertilizer product available has increased in price, with some increasing by nearly 500 percent. The cost of commercial fertilizers is even more stunning when viewed over a five-year period. The following represent trends seen by farmers nationwide:
-A ton of nitrogen fertilizer that cost $200 in 2003 now sells for $800 -- a 400 percent price increase.
-A ton of phosphate fertilizer that cost $240 in 2003 now sells for $1,199 -- a 500 percent price increase.

Natural ingredients are released more slowly so there is less chance of environmental impact. Adding natural ingredients to the soil increases microbial activity. Soil microbes fix the nutrients needed for plant growth and release them slowly as plants need them. On the other hand petrochemical fertilizers are often high in soluble salts that are detrimental to soil microbes and plants alike: They decrease microbial activity and plant nutrient uptake. Although these fertilizers are high analysis N-P-K, the plant-use efficiency is very low.

Fish solubles are extracted through low temperature processes from Menhaden fish which were used by Native Americans for centuries to grow their crops. Menhaden comes from the word "munna whaleaug" which means "that which manures." Menhaden ocean fish feed on mineral rich plankton, which makes them full of essential nutrients. The fish are steamed slowly at 190° F, which preserves the amino acids, minerals and vitamins. The fish is then broken down into smaller components with enzymes (hydrolysis). Bloodmeal and sulfate of potash are combined with the fish to boost the nutrient levels in AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer. AGGRAND Natural Liquid Bonemeal contains 12% readily available phosphorus (P), which is reflected by the grade of 0-12-0 (N-P-K). Phosphorus aids in plant establishment and production of prolific blooms and high yields of top quality fruits.
