Get Rid Of Your Tinnitus Fast And Naturally

Discover a simple, home-based, aggressive treatment tinnitus program, without the need for drugs, surgery, or audio maskers.

First, though, learn the cause of tinnitus, the symptoms for tinnitus, and, how the results of mainstream medical treatment for tinnitus are not all that encouraging.

What Is Tinnitus?

Tinnitus is the name given to a condition whereby a person hears sounds that are not externally present or produced; they are produced internally. The sounds have been described variously as ringing, hissing, wooshing, ticking, clicking, whistling, like steam escaping, etc.

There are 2 types of sound, subjective and objective sound. Subjective sound is where only the sufferer can hear the sounds, while objective sound can be heard also by a medical practitioner using a special instrument.

The condition of tinnitus is generally applied to the subjective case.

What Is The Cause Of Tinnitus?

The most common cause is a problem with the inner ear and auditory nerve. The inner ear converts sounds to signals that the auditory nerve carries to the brain.

But, the cause of tinnitus can be any number of ear disorders, and, other medical conditions too. So that tinnitus is really a symptom of one or more of these other disorders, or, conditions.

Typical ear disorders are; ear infections, impacted ear wax, middle ear infection (glue ear), hearing damaged by noise, middle ear tumour, blocked eustachian tube (middle ear to back of nose), otosclerosis (stiffening of middle ear bones), meniere's desease (inner ear discorder), hearing loss.

And some medical conditions / issues that can help cause tinnitus are; head injury, whiplash, hypertension (high blood pressure), stress, allergies, medications (aspirin, anti-inflammatories, antibiotics), anemia, hardening of the arteries, old age, and, diet etc.

Sounds Of Tinnitus: Symptoms For Tinnitus

As already discussed, the sounds of tinnitus are symptoms of other underlying conditions, so that where tinnitus may be present, the doctor will look for those other conditions. In other words don't treat the symptoms for tinnitus, treat the root cause(s).

But the sounds of tinnitus (subjective) are sounds which only the sufferer can describe, since no one else can hear them.

These are the sounds of tinnitus; whistling, buzzing, ringing, hissing, wooshing, clicking, ticking, etc.

Now many people will have comparitively low levels of these, but, many others will have much higher levels to an extent that it utterly ruins their lives. They suffer from depression, severe fatigue, sleeplessness, it affects their ability to hold down a job, their relationships can suffer, and, much more.

Medical Treatment For Tinnitus

Medical treatment will depend on the underlying problem(s), and, individual circumstances. The following is a short list of some options available, medical and otherwise:

Medication: e.g. antibiotics, anti-anxiety, antihistamines, anticonvulsants.

Surgery: Surgery is very rarely undertaken, and, is only a last resort.

But, the root cause sometimes cannot be identified, so that other measures have to be taken such as:

Hearing Aid: Where you have impaired hearing, a hearing aid will raise the level of external sound relative to your internal sound.

Tinnitus Masker: These are aids that are held in the ear to produce a range of sounds that mask or cover-up the tinnitus.

Complementary Therapies: e.g. acupuncture, meditation, yoga, hypnosis, etc.

Biofeedback Training: In its simplest form this teaches you to control circulation and relax the muscles that control your head and neck. This often lessens the tinnitus effect.

Unfortunately, many sufferers have gone through one or several of these approaches with varying degrees of success. Some report that the tinnitus has reduced, some that it reduced but came back, some that it never improved at all. It has been said that almost 93% of tinnitus sufferers never get relief.

Which is why many sufferers are looking for more natural approaches to their cure.
