I was first exposed to Ram Dass at Lama Foundation in Northern NM in the 90s. He is a wise soul. I'm beginning to relate to these fears of aging as I'm not 63 and not always in the best of health. A very well written and informative lens.

Yes. The focus of this lens is right on. You could do several more and still have inspiring material about Ram Dass

I had never heard of him before. He sounds like someone far beyond his time.

Love Ram Dass - saw him in PDX in 70's - you could hear a pin drop in the auditorium while the christians protested loudly outside - then broke through the barriers carrying their signs with hate writing - Ram Dass stopped talking and sat quietly on stage - the christian shouted and raged all the way to the stage while the audience looked on in astonishment - then, the christian turned to walk out, dragging his sign behind him and Ram Dass picked up exactly where he left off and continued his lecture.

I came back to lensroll this to It is What It Is, which includes my own thoughts on Ram Dass. And thanks for blessing Granny Gets Her Groove Back, and buying a book! Woohoo!

I was doing some research on Ram Dass for a lens I am working on and stumbled on this tribute to him. I had Be Here Now and most of his subsequent books. Then I went in other directions, but now I am finding him again and am awed by his response to his stroke and the dignity he brings to aging. Thanks for re-introducing this great man.

"Use every moment to awaken" and "open the heart" ... words I live by!

Thank you for a wonderful and enjoyable lens!

I love that quote re the present moment - "to work with these fears is mindfulness, the art of living in the present moment." Beautiful!
