the agony of being a Mets fan

The New York Mets continued their disappointing 2009 campaign by getting swept by the hated Phillies. This makes 2 rivalry series in a row that the Mets have been swept in, after getting blasted by the Yankees in the conclusion of their yearly Subway Series tilt. What makes it even more painful is that the Mets continue to tease their fans by getting into contention only to rip their fans hearts out time after time. Maybe they should rip out their fans healthy appendages while they're at it to hasten Reyes', Beltran's and Delgado's return from the DL, this team needs any spark it can get.
