Adding this link to my blog. Good advice for the bride and groom who want to go green. Love the bouquets you made too!
  • kiwisoutback Sep 20, 2010 @ 9:02 am | delete
Nice work, there's a lot of great stuff featured here. As for wedding favors, you could also make donations in that person's name instead of buying favors (to a green charity).

These are great. I love the champagne flutes with the baby trees in them. That's a great idea!

  • TopStyleTravel Feb 18, 2009 @ 12:52 pm | delete
Wonderful lens, 5 stars! Love the pictures of fruit and flowers. Great tips for wedding planning and info on reducing our carbon footprint on the earth. My idea is for the couple to choose an eco-friendly honeymoon destination such as Hawaii, Costa Rica, New Zealand, or a National Park. Choose Hotels that have the Energy Star ratings. Also rent a hybrid vehicle or ride a horse or bicycle. And make sure to recycle.

Excellent lens. A friend told me about a green wedding she attended...the couple did not register for gifts...they requested handmade items or repurposed gifts. Now THAT'S green! And very cool, I think. Also, congrats on your nomination for the Giant Squid awards!

I have been to a few weddings this year that must have cost a lot. I wonder if changing to a green theme would not just be good for the environment but help couples have a more original style wedding rather than paying a fortune for the same look as everyone else.

Those power packs really come in handy in areas that lose power easily. We got ours before solar was big, so we wouldn't be able to charge it up again until power was restored. That would be a great gift for a new couple, even if they didn't realize it at first.
  • CubicleJoe Sep 3, 2008 @ 8:09 pm | delete
Wow. Talk about a great little niche not only as a lense, but for any current or aspiring wedding planner. Very nice.

Great page - at my wedding now 11 years ago my favors were green - I had given a tree seedling in a container that converted into a bird feeder and it had bird seed attached with a little note saying something like - plant this seedling and watch it grow as our love will. You get 5 green well yellow stars from me
