Welcome to "a-ha: from 'Take on Me' to Today"!
In 1985, the Norwegian synth-pop band a-ha burst onto the international music scene with their hit single (and music video), "Take on Me", from their debut album, "Hunting High and Low". Although the band has toured the United States only once, and despite breaking up between 1994 and 1998 to pursue solo recording careers, a-ha has released a total of eight studio albums (which have together sold in the tens of millions) and their music is still enjoyed today by fans worldwide. Whether you are visiting this lens for nostalgic purposes or are interested in current a-ha news (such as the rumor that they will be releasing a ninth album in 2008), hopefully you will find something to enjoy while you are here.

- A-ha... STILL my favorite band to this day and Take On Me is still a great song! I used to turn the volume way up on my Walkman to hear the keyboards. SO cool. The 80s rocked in all ways. The amazing decade that will never be duplicated!

- Great music video - Take On Me. I think I read somewhere that this helped pave the way for every hit to have a music video to go with it. The band had a great sound, and the artwork on the video was very clever and different.
Nice lens. 5 stars.
