In 1985, the Norwegian synth-pop band a-ha burst onto the international music scene with their hit single (and music video), "Take on Me", from their debut album, "Hunting High and Low". Although the band has toured the United States only once, and despite breaking up between 1994 and 1998 to pursue solo recording careers, a-ha has released a total of eight studio albums (which have together sold in the tens of millions) and their music is still enjoyed today by fans worldwide. a-ha achieved its biggest success with their debut album and single in 1985. Hunting High and Low peaked at number fifteen on the Billboard charts and yielded an international number-one single, "Take on Me", earning the band a Grammy Award nomination as Best New Artist.
