In my experience, the switchblade is a horrible product, doesn't work at all. Or didn't work for us anyway. We couldn't keep it flying for nothing. The reflex helicopter by air hogs, however, if it is still being sold, could be a number ONE product. My 4 year old not only could fly it with ease, he wore that thing into the ground. We had to buy new blades because he crashed it so many times they all broke, but the helicopter itself just kept flying and flying and flying. It lasted almost a year of flying it for hours almost every day, inside and outside.

I think everyone has there own experiences with these toys, some have good some bad and I guess you just had a really good experience with this one. I've seen comments by other people that have had a bad experience so there you go! I personally like the Havoc's and the Hawkeye (my son wants one for Christmas so we'll see!).
