Whatever the case, I know our family does. We have four children and all four of them, plus my husband and I have allergies. We've tried otc allergy medicines, prescription allergy medicines, and those wonderful allergy shots. All with little or no success.
It turns out, the best thing we ever did was get an air purifier for our home. Everyone feels a whole lot better and we use a LOT less tissue :)

We bought this machine because we have a cat and my boyfriend is allergic to cats. Our place is small-medium sized apartment in a highrise so this machine is kinda perfect for us. THough we have 2 main rooms, living and bedroom. it works great in both rooms but once in a while we have to move the machine from room to room, but maybe also because of the floor plan layout of the apartment.
This thing is big!..like about almost 3' tall i think. My boyfriend's allergies now got much better than before we bought it, he said. its easy to operate and move around ( theres a grip handle on top so you can grap, lift and move it around.)The filter is easy to clean-vacuum cleaning, it seems as though the filter cleaning time indicator button doesnt work.. but its easy to check, just pull the filter up and look.
Overall, I think this product is a 4. Not bad, works great for the price, but if you can pay more than $150, I believe there s a more expensive but better one out there.

Owned this unit for 2 months and has been working Great! Easy to clean with or without a dishwasher. By far the best money can buy compared to other Ion cleaners. Some customers have complained about noise on TV screen from the unit, I have had none of that.
Update: 10/10/05 Recived portable TV (casio EV-4500) TV has moderate to high RF interference from 0 to 20 feet from C90A. as far as I can tell certain itams my be affected by unit.
Pros: very quiet on all speeds. Very easy to clean and filters are very cheep compared to other brands e.g. Oreck. Consumer reports top pick. Very low O-zone level output. Moves lots of air. light on top showing that Ion cells working correctly.
Cons: this unit is very Big and ugly about 30lbs

I bought this item with high hopes after reading a positive review. My daughter has bad allergies and my husband and I were hoping that this might help. Since she has been using the air cleaner her symptoms are significantly improved. The unit is easy to use and I like the idea of not having to spend a lot of money later for big filters.

We got these when the baby was born to keep down some of the dust - we put one in our room and one in the living room and they seem to work fine. They are very quiet and don't take up alot of space. They work for about a month or so without needing cleaned but cleaning is fairly easy and only takes a few minutes (plus a few more to dry).
We use the car ones to, only I can't tell if there is much difference. I suppose they work fine as I don't seem to have to dust the dashboard as often.

After dealing with asthma/allergy issues...both myself and one of my cats...we decided to purchase the Rabbit Air Purifier. I could not be happier. I could immediately tell the difference, both in myself and with my cat's asthma. The unit is extremely lightweight and easy to move between rooms (we move it from our downstairs living area to an upstairs bedroom at night); as well as being extremely quiet. I highly recommend this product to anybody suffereing from asthma or allergies.
