In playing Airsoft, the first thing that you should ensure when you are already in the field is to be invisible to your opponents as much as possible. Avoid making noises by stepping on dried leaves or twigs. You should not jump or stand, especially when you are in the middle of a battle. This is the most common mistake that players do because they just want to escape the attack of the enemies. What you can do is to crawl and ensure that you are not making yourself a target.
The obstacles in the field like fences should be maximized and should be used properly. Efficient usage of obstacles can really help you hide from your enemies and secretly attack them. So instead of looking over the obstacle, you should look around it so that you will not expose many parts of your body that can make you a target to your enemies. Aside from using the obstacles efficiently, you should also make quick glances around you even though you know that there's no one around you. This will save you from your opponents. You just can't be too sure.
One effective tactic is to fool your enemies by not shooting continually even though you have an excellent angle. This will make an impression that your opponent is not exposed and will avoid hiding from you and your teammates. You can attack if you think it is the right time to attack the opponent.
You should also not stay in one place and be predictable to your opponents. You should move around the field so that your enemies will not catch you or make you the main target. Lastly, you should also pay attention to your teammates so that if they are telling you important information like enemies' positions. Remember that you can easily do your job and help the team win if you have your Airsoft gear on.
