Your work always brings a smile. You are indeed blessed with having such a close family that you get to visit. Goa is a beautiful place and I can see why it must have been hard to leave, but God makes a way for you to return. Maybe a little too much info on the nose thing ... Squidoo is a close community, but that was something I could have lived without knowing :) See, you make me smile!

Thank you! I enjoyed seeing your view of the world! I've been to Canada a little and to Goa. Even went wind surfing! Learned how to stay on the board. Learned how to go. OOOPS! Did not learn how to turn. Dropped sail and sat gently going up and down... went way too far from the place I was staying. But figured they'd notice their equipment was gone - and since I had a lesson and they knew... I waited patiently. Got picked up by instructors in a sail boat who went looking for me:-)

    Hi Anthony,
Wow your whole lens here is so impressive. Your right its easy to get overwhelmed here with all the possibilities. I just helped my husband get his first lens up and going. it might take a day for it to get cleared his name is Paig. so his name on this is PaigSr. He wrote a lens called:Apoem about Integrity.
I look forward to learing more of what you've laid out here. Goa looks lovely.
You're sister in the Lord, Anna

This lens was used as an example of ~Lensography~ in our Rocket Squids group and I'm very glad that it was. Really liked the way you incorporated much of your life and your favorite lenses into a very interesting read. When I have a few more lenses under my belt I would like to do this and I'm pleased to have such a good format to refer to. :>)
  • ajgodinho Mar 1, 2012 @ 5:15 pm | delete
That's wonderful to know. This lensography was actually a product of an assignment when I was part of a Squidoo group a couple of years ago. I'll pop by your neck of the woods. Wishing you all the best in your Squidoo endeavours!

Great lens about yourself! It must be interesting to be able to live in different countries and learn the different cultures. I havent been to Ontario but have other friends there and one day hope to get there. I was in Canada a month ago but only in the Niagara Falls. THe story about your niece was so sweet. You seem like such a great guy! THanks for an interesting look at your life!

This lens was wonderful - bookmarked to come back too. We have a few things in common - I immigrated to Canada (back in the US now but grateful for that experience) I have a series of lenses on the Greater Good as well (that's ok :) such a worthwhile cause and both of us will add something, the more eyeballs on these charities the better) my spirituality defines and I love Squidoo! Sincerely, Rose
  • ajgodinho Jan 17, 2012 @ 2:56 pm | delete
Nice to meet you Rose and see that we have a few things in common. Wishing you all the best in your goals for 2012 (I just visited your lens). Yes, the more people share, the better, in terms of the worthy causes of the GreaterGood Network. Stay blessed!

When I was new to Squidoo you warmly welcomed me. And, I didn't even know how the 'liking' and 'favoriting' functions worked. Finally, 7 months later, I do - and am featuring this as the 3rd amazing lens from you in your devoted section of my 'Squidoo people with a good heart.' Hope it helps!
  • ajgodinho Mar 13, 2011 @ 4:33 pm | delete
Thanks much, Rose...I appreciate your support, kind words and for featuring this lens! I enjoyed your lens and I think it's a great idea!
  • mivvy Mar 10, 2011 @ 2:03 pm | delete
What a lovely introduction to yourself. You look very portuguese I hope you don't mind my saying so. When I am in a country I look at faces to see if I can find any ancestry. In Goa this is very interesting because there are so many European faces, only more tanned. The same in Sri Lanka where we saw many burghers. I haven't been to many Indian states but European faces are less prominent in Kerala. I had thought to see some, after all the Dutch were there and also the Portuguese. It was very nice meetong you through this lens
  • ajgodinho Mar 10, 2011 @ 2:39 pm | delete
Thank you, Mivvy! No, no problem at all...some people do say I look Portuguese or even Italian...LOL. Yeah, you make interesting observations and it's true. I was impressed to see how much you know about Goa and India in general. I've enjoyed your lenses too and your Goan pictures on RG. Nice to "meet" you too! :)

This is such a wonderful lens, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and learning so much about you! You've had quite the interesting life! I really like your writing style, it always sucks me in and makes me want to read more. I keep thinking that once I hit 20 lenses, I'll do a lensography of my own - I feel inspired by yours!
BTW...I live about 2 hours east of Toronto...we're practically neighbours! lol
  • ajgodinho Feb 21, 2011 @ 11:59 am | delete
Thanks much for stopping by and I appreciate your kind words. Glory to God to all the opportunities that He has afforded me including the challenges that sometimes seem overwhelming. In the meantime, I look forward to exploring your lenses. Blessings to you! :)

    Once again, awesome lens!

Now that I know you a little more, I can tease you a little more! Just kidding! :-)

Goa seems like a nice place. I think I'd like to go there one day! I think I'd find it pretty hard to adapt to the heat though! I mean, after all, I live on the totally opposite side of the world!

I loved the 2010 vaca video by the way! :-)
  • ajgodinho Jan 31, 2011 @ 12:59 pm | delete
Ah, so you want to get into a teasing competition, do ya? :) Yeah, Goa is definitely a nice place,, but it can get real hot there, especially during the summer months. Thanks, I enjoyed making that video with Animoto. Thanks for dropping by ~ nice to get to know you and your mom! :)

What a great story! I hear so much about Dubai in the news lately and a couple of co-workers went recently, that it makes me curious enough to visit someday. I had no idea about the different colored sand. And Goa looks and sounds like paradise. You've had a full life indeed.
  • ajgodinho Jan 15, 2011 @ 5:21 pm | delete
Dubai has changed a lot since I left -- a lot of tall structures and projects have come up. I'd like to visit again to see all the changes. I still have friends out there and my niece is there as well. I had a chance to visit Goa, last year around this time and enjoyed it much. It surely has been quite a journey...thanks for stopping by...it was good to see the goals you've set yourself for 2011...all the best! :)

You have lead a rich and interesting life and it is a joy to read. I look forward to reading more of your lenses.

Thanks for sharing your story! You are lucky to have seen Dubai, I have heard it is one place of great beauty (not as much as Canada eh, but close). One very interesting lensography, and crisp layout, really love it.
  • ajgodinho Dec 21, 2010 @ 1:42 am | delete
Thanks much! Yeah, I lived in Dubai for 6 years and enjoyed it out there. In terms of natural beauty, Dubai doesn't compare to Canada. Dubai is great for fascination with man-made structures and such.

  • Wednesday_Elf Sep 14, 2010 @ 1:17 pm | delete
AJ, on Squidoo one doesn't usually think of a 'lensography' being selected for LOTD, but this is much more than that. It's a (auto)biography of your interesting life, a history lesson, and a deep insight into the person who is AJGodinho - who is a caring, loving, and sharing individual!

I met you first through this lens while getting to know you in beta testing last month. Then I became a SquidAngel for September and this was the very FIRST lens I came to bless on my angel journey. So, it is with great pleasure that I return today to congratulate you on having this wonderful story be chosen for Lens of the Day! You are a terrific lensmaster and I'm very pleased to call you friend.

Antonio, you failed to mention that in addtion to all the other wonderful attributes that you are a prayer warrior! I am just one who has benefitted from that passion of yours. Susie, of course, forwarded your kind messages to me while I struggled with that back injury and I could actually feel the strength of your spirit and faith working on my behalf! I have been meaning to get over to thank you and I hope you can hear my heart as it is even now overwhelmed by the love you extended toward me, almost a stranger. But then I should not be surprised as that is who you are as evidenced in part by all your "Click To.." and other humanitarian lenses. You have several that I havn't yet visited. I truly enjoyed reading your story and particularly enjoyed your sense of humor--I was impressed with the 7 types of sand--you had me for a moment there. My favorite picture was the one with face tattoos--I must insist that you really let that smile show in all future pictures. Before I run out of room, I should mention that my back is doing wonderfully and I can do most anthing I want free of pain without medication. Feel free to continue praying for me any time you feel like it--I like the positive energy. Antonio, you are a blessing to many who may never learn about you. This scripture comes to mind for you, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man what God has laid up for those who love Him." Blessings on your head! Proverbs 10:6
Also, congratulations on a very well deserved LOTD, I'm thrilled for you!

AJ - I've suddenly found myself with 'Angel' wings and the very first place I wanted to come was back to your lensography. Been thinking of you too my friend, thanks for visiting my lensography. It was great to hear from you, I figured you were busy like me. - Friends are like angels, you don't need to see them to know they are there (that's how I feel right now). Am listening to Kevin Skinner's CD right now, he sure has a good message. Makes me feel, cry, change, stand up, and love more...so I my support and promotion for him was inspired by God. ~ Glory!

Been doing a lot of intercession for others spiritually, its all good as pray changes things and me. Took the day off yesterday to clear some cob-webs and meditate on life, brought 4 horses sugar lumps and got loved on by them. ~ Sweet.

The Lord bless you more than you ask!

I've really enjoyed reading the AJGodihno lensography! What I got the most out of this lens, was the encouragement from your wonderful testimony, and how you came to know God... I think that it is just wonderful that you centered your lensography around him, as well. I've read several of your other lenses, and you are an excellent and credible lensmaster. I always appreciate the hard work that you put into creating your pages. I also enjoyed the photo album of Goa. My favorite picture was the one with you and your young neice, with stickers all over your faces! Five stars...great job!

Came back to read a bit more of your lensography, I kind of take things in slowly and chew on it as it digests. Been thinking of you and hope things are going well for you, I'm sure they are. I like the way that you share your faith and heart AJ. This is a great lens and I wanted to get the link to it again, as I lost about 80 links to lensographies a couple weeks ago that I had collected. Trying to remember the ones that I had bookmarked because I knew I want to return again. ~ I appreciate having you on Squidoo and love the comments I have read by you in many people's guest books. You really do care and that's nice to see...
    Best Wishes

Thanks for your candid feedback and comments Bro! What you refer to, I've covered in the section "The Middle-Eastern Connection". However, given that it is, like you said, "a very important part of my life", I will be creating a separate full-length lens to specifically cover that topic because I think it's worthy of a full lens not just a section. :)

Very well done...not surprised to see the quality of work you put together! I must say that there's one very important part to your life that was not mentioned...like we've said so many times - lets not look to one another but to him who is worthy of all praise and thanksgiving!
