Martingale Dog collars are also known as Greyhound Collars or Humane Choke Dog Collar. The Martingale Dog Collar was designed for Sighthounds because their necks are larger than their heads and they can often slip out of buckle collars. These collars have gained popularity among many other breed owners in the recent past with many trainers now recommending them instead of choke chains or choke collars. These collars are fitted to the exact size of the dog's neck when the Dog Collar is pulled closed. Properly fitted, the collar will be comfortably loose when not in use.

We will custom make a Martingale Collar for YOUR dog. We have listed some of the fabrics we have, but ANY fabric you find online we will buy and make your collar with. Collars take 2 - 4 weeks to be delivered and we ship flat rate priority mail.

Sizes include:

1 inch width, 1.5 inch width, 2 inch width

Each width is available in the following neck sizes:

XSmall: 12-15 inch
Small: 14-18 inch
Medium: 17-24 inch
Large: 20-29 inch
XLarge: 30-38 inch

The standard collar comes with nickel (silver) hardware (d-rings and slides)

We can add colored hardware for an extra price. Colors available: blue, brown, red, green, orange, black, pink, purple, red, white, yellow.

The breed derives its name from the Mexican State of Chihuahua, where the earliest specimens of the breed were found around 1850. Pictures of dogs resembling the modern Chihuahua appear in ancient paintings in Mexico.

These dogs live an average of 15 years and can range in size from: 6 to 9 inches in height and from 2 - 12 pounds in weight. For this reason, there have been many adjectives to explain different sizes of this breed including: teacup, pocket size, tiny toy, miniature, and standard. They all belong to the same breed group, unlike poodles that have three different breed groups of Toy Poodle, Miniature Poodle and Standard Poodle.

These dogs are part of the AKC Toy group and were first recognized in 1904. They are described as alert and terrier like. They prefer to live with others of their same kind and breed, being described as "clannish."

The Chihuahua comes in two varieties: long and smooth (short) coat. They can come in a large variety of colors including, but not limited to: fawn, red, cream, chocolate, blue, white, and black. They can be solid, marked or splashed with any of these colors. Patterns include, but are not limited to: sable, Irish spotting, Piebald spotting, extreme white spotting, brindle, masks, merle, and tan point.

One of the most famous Chihuauas is the Taco Bell dog.

BSL judges a dog by appearance, not by temperament. What ever happened to the old saying, "Don't judge a book by it's cover?"
