The Film and Television Show Roles of Alan Tudyk
Alan Tudyk, the ginger-haired and hilarious actor, has been appearing in an ever-increasing number of films and television shows in the last few years. He was born in El Paso, Texas, on March 16th 1971, studied briefly at Juillard (but didn't complete, leaving in 1996) and has been appearing on stage and screen ever since.
He is best known for his lively and iconic portrayal of Wash in Firefly. To everyone's delight, he returned for the sequel film Serenity. Sadly, it ultimately turned tragic, as Joss Whedon ripped apart the hearts of geeks everywhere. I initially overlooked him, but he swiftly won a place in my heart among the rest of the fantastic cast and has become one of my favourite actors.
He has been just as memorable in other roles, such as Steve the Pirate in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story and a dangerously unpredictable character known as Alpha, with a dozen personalities in the recent Dollhouse series. He shines even when the films themselves... are less than fantastic - such as his role as Simon in Death at a Funeral, where he was the only redeeming feature of a cringeworthy film.
