Hoping to recover, Alan moves to Bright Falls, Washington, a quiet and peaceful small town, or so it seems. Things turn for the worst as Alan Wake's nightmares become true. Fictional details from his book start to merge with reality and he is haunted by evil entities lurking in the dark. The longer Alan Wake stays in Bright Falls, the longer the night seems. Light becomes Alan Wake's strongest ally.

GAMEPLAY
Alan Wake supports an episodic structure, with each episode presenting additional characters and new elements. The game is strongly character based with each mission concentrating on the main character's quest to uncover the mysterious happenings. Players can freely interact and explore within the free roam 3D environment, encouraging Alan Wake to poke and investigate at every nook and cranny of Bright Falls as he search for clues.
