4. The Alaska Native Arts Center in Anchorage
5. Whittier - Whittier has many cruise ships from Princess Cruises that now offer the traveler an opportunity to cruise Prince William Sound.
6. Seward - Kenai Fjoyrds Sea Treks (to see Orca Whales, Puffins and more Alaska wildlife)
I have found an amazing book that will save you money and time traveling. It is called: The Travel Secrets Guide
Just using one of the secrets in this guide could help you save hundreds, even thousands, on your next trip or vacation.
These are just few places to travel to. If you want more information on amazing places to travel go to: Travel Alaska and make sure you stop by our website: Alaska The Majestic
When in Anchorage go to the Vistors Bureau and pickup a coupon book called the Northern Lights coupon book for discounts on restaurants, places to stay, (tours up to 50% off, Alaska Railroad, Alaska Sealife Center, Homer Ocean Tours, Kenai Fjords Tours), the Reindeer Farm, Denail Raft Adventures, or go to the website at: The Northern Lights Coupon Book
Alaska is closer than you may think. You can travel by direct flights from major cities in the U.S. You can also travel the Alaska Alcan Highway if you have the time, which takes you through Canada (when traveling through Canada you will need a passport),
The best time of year to travel to Alaska is in the Summer time around July into August, as this is the time when the fishing is so amazing. The Sportsman will enjoy all the rivers and streams to fish in.
Also, wildlife viewing takes on a different dimension, as the animals are easier to see, such as: bald eagles, moose, dall sheep viewing right off the Seward Highway, bears, and so many more. You can take flightseeing trips that specialize in wildlife viewing. Or go to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Portage, the Alaska Sealife Center in Seward, or in Anchorage at the Alaska Zoo.
If you want to get off the beaten path visit Tokosha Mountain Lodge it offers a breathtaking view of Denali, the highest peak in North America. It is family owned and operated, and located within Denali National Park. The Neill's family homesteaded this pristine location in 1968, before Denali National Park extended its borders. They made their living on the land by hunting, fishing, trapping, and gardening, and still live here year round. They built the lodge and cabins themselves and home-schooled their children in this remote area. In 1980, Denali National Park extended its borders further south to include the Lodge. Visit their website at: Tokosha Mountain Lodge
