Very interesting lens. I didn't think about hypnosis as a solution to alcohol abuse. Drink less alcohol and more pure water! I drink lots of high quality water out of 5 gallon glass bottles.

I would love for my husband to look into hypnosis but he'd probably never go for it. And even if he did he most likely wouldn't believe in it. Do you have to believe in it for it to actually work?
  • HypnoTrance Mar 30, 2012 @ 11:50 am | delete
Belief is a powerful resource for any goal and it certainly helps however it can be pleasantly surprising that some people who describe themselves as skeptics can still gain benefits from hypnosis

I love the lens and the information you shared. I can relate a lot to the "reasons" for drinking and drugging. I'm in recovery myself. I just created a lens on here for my website "Sober Nation". I'd like to feature you on my lens but I'm not sure how. You might have to help, lol. Please check out my lens as well, I just started it and I think you'd be very interested. Thanks for your work.

Drinking alcohol is a culture which is commonly associated with the western society. In this society it’s considered perfectly normal for an individual to consume wine with a meal, drink socially at gatherings/ events, and crack open champagne for celebrations. However due to alcohol being so commonly found in many of our regular activities, identifying when you’re drinking too much alcohol can become difficult.

If perhaps your drinking alcohol because you enjoy the feelings associated with drinking alcohol or you want to enhance your current mood, you could grow dependence for drinking alcohol, which is a major problem. Alcohol addiction can be a silent killer, so it’s important to address the problem and make steps towards controlling your drinking habits.

Ask yourself when Drinking how much is too much?

This is a great post. It's true that drinking may only provide a temporary solution but it will not really help in the long run. The problem gets even worse if it also leads to depression.

Some people are quiet hesitant when they hear the word hypnosis to treat their addictions. They just need to have an open mind and give it a try. All it takes is see a professional hypnotherapist who will help them in getting rid of their addictions.

I've read stories people from people who have sought help from hypnotherapists. So far the results are amazing and their lives have greatly improved.

Thanks for stopping by. Hypnosis is a state of mind that occurs naturally. Daydreaming is an example of naturally occuring hypnosis which we experience every day. If you accept that hypnosis occurs naturally then you can be assured that hypnosis is not new to you and is safe. In fact its a wonderful state of peace and relaxation.

I'm really impressed with the quality and detail provided in your lens.

I am a huge fan of everything related with hypnosis and would highly recommend anyone who has an addiction (alcohol or otherwise) to try hypnosis/hypnotherapy to help.

Whilst I've been fortunate not to suffer with an addiction, I have suffered from several phobias including needles and spiders, and I've found that hypnosis has really helped me.

Please keep up the fantastic work!

I have a client who has dependent on alcohol since the death of his father and brother a few years ago. I tapped on him and used the set up phrase: Even though I feel very lonely after my brother's and father's deaths. He said he felt liberated after the session. I invited him for the EFT training as well as to download the eft training manual.

Great lens you have here. Giving up an addiction, like alcohol, can be a challenge, even with application of natural methods learned from EFT training. Sometimes, though, we get surprisingly fast results.

EFT usually gets rid of immediate cravings for sweets, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, sex, etc in short order. When that doesn't happen, there is almost always a deeper issue behind the craving.

It's so easy for an innocent drink to become a regular habit and then become a need rather than a desire.

    Hi Marion

What a great lens! You are so clear in your ability to break down a sometimes overwhelming problem (eg alcohol, depression) into a solution which is something manageable. Well done

    say no to alcohol
  • HypnoTrance May 13, 2008 @ 2:24 am | delete
    Hi Annie
Yes, I agree. Some people who suffer with depression turn to alcohol to numb the emotional pain or struggle of depression. This is only a temporary escape as alcohol is a depressive. It in effect becomes a vicious circle of depression, the taking of alcohol to escape (seemingly) the depression which leads back to depression once the effects of the alcohol wear off.
  • May 12, 2008 @ 7:56 pm | delete
Yeah, most of them who are in Depression get addicted to alcohol not knowing that they are jumping into fire to get rid of heat.
