Leverage's Aldis Hodge plays Hardison, the expert hacker

Hardison is in love with technology in all its forms and applications. He can master just about anything electronic and often makes custom equipment for the Leverage crew -- their earpiece comms, for instance -- although he admits in the pilot episode that team members might experience "nausea... weakness in your right side... stroke... strokey-ness..."

Hardison enjoys a love-hate relationship with Eliot; they frequently bicker and banter, a lot like jealous siblings. (Eliot: "How am I supposed to get out of the FBI office with a box full of surveillance tapes? Huh?" Hardison: "Punch somebody!" Eliot: "Oh, I'm gonna punch somebody.") But Hardison gets along well with the rest of the crew; he looks up to Nate as a mentor and seems to have a budding romantic relationship developing with Parker.

Like Parker, Hardison was raised in a foster home, but he was lucky to have a foster mother who cared for him and gave him a good childhood. He refers to her as his grandmother, but reveals to Parker in The Stork Job that they actually weren't related.

Hardison can frequently be seen guzzling orange soda and is a fan of the online game World of Warcraft. But he's not a total geek; he's also an accomplished painter (he did the portrait that graced the team's offices in Season 1) and he plays the violin.
