Alex von Furstenberg Acquires a Minority Stake in Landmark Investors LLC

Back in January 2005 the news headlines of the financial media discussed the acquisition of a minority stake in Landmark Investors LLC, one of the private alternative asset management affiliates of Baron Advisors by Arrow Capital Management, LLC (run by Alex von Furstenberg).

Right after the deal Ahmed Fattouh, Barron's founder said that they were pleased to welcome Arrow as a partner. They were planning to use 100% of the proceedings to augument their infrastructure and expend their offerings. He also expressed hope that Arrow would be their reliable anchor committing significant capital to their existing funds and new products.

Alex von Furstenberg of Arrow Capital added that the acquisition was actually a culmination of a long lasting relationship with the firm. He also said that beyond consistently ranking in the top five percent of their peer group without resorting to leverage or speculative tactics, Landmark attracted them with their discipline and specialized approach.
