Who is Alex?
Alex is the HOT Aussie actor that gained US fame when he played Mick St. John, the vampire private investigator on CBS's show Moonlight. Moonlight has now been cancelled but Alex's star is still bright! In fact he just filmed a pilot for a new medical drama called Three Rivers and it has been picked up by CBS for the Fall!!! He was also in the 2009 movie Whiteout with Kate Beckinsale. Right now, look for the Moonlight Season One Boxed Set and Sci-Fi channel re-runs.
Woohoo! Alex has landed the male lead in the CBS Films romantic comedy "Plan B" opposite Jennifer Lopez. The story centers around a single woman who turns to artificial insemination to answer her ticking biological clock, only to see her backup plan complicated when the man of her dreams shows up. It opens in March of 2010!!

- He is one awsome actor ,so short sighted when they axed moonlight. Loved the whole Moonlight cast they had such a chemistry . Other vampire series fail in comparrison.
Moonlight would make an amazing film . Alex is a rising star .

- In response to Mariko, "Yes Alex was the best vampire I had ever seen also...it is too bad that CBS saw fit to knock it off the air when the head honcho said it didn't have good ratings (if over 10 million strong loved the show, what does this woman want from audiences? Blood?) and that we were all actor-centric...a nice way of saying we were a cult...
Well let's hope when Three Rivers gets into the Fall lineup that the head honcho does not pull this again and cancel it...
Alex and his whole ML cast were wonderful, so we came to love the characters and love each now episode of the storyline...
Now I am looking forward to seeing Alex make it big on the big screen, but doubt The Backup Plan will fly with J-Lo as the feamle lead opposite him...We will see how much Alex has to coverup for her...I can't see her insuring any chemistry between them...a wet mop would be a better female lead...

- This has got to be the hottest man on the face of the earth. And one of the best actors I've had the pleasure of watching in a very long time. No matter what role he plays he is believable. And you find yourself lost in him proformance. Mark my words we will be seeing alot more Of Alex O'Loughlin.

Being an Aussie, we don't get all the publicity you all get with regards to your local actors, apart from normal feedback ie, JLos' demands before she performs, etc. And the editorials & pix with hubby and babies. I mean to say how many moms have a outfit change for every photo with the baby/babies? Therefore my opinion on JLo is purely this, I think it's her good fortune that she has signed on to co-star with Alex. I think he will make a great back-up plan for anything!
And Alex being the gentleman he is will put up with this diva and be rest assured, his fans will be waiting with bated breath for it's release. Good for you Alex

Well JLO is OK. I am not convinced of her acting talent as she is always the same in most movies she has made. Unlike Alex who is not only gorgeous he can definitely act which he has proven in the very varied roles he has undertaken. JLO is very lucky to have Alex as her co-star as his fan base will definitely help the movie along. Alex has a fantastic sense of humour which comes across in all of his interviews and I believe he will transition into comedy fantasticly. JLO always comes across so serious and full of herself so I hope the director can bring her out of herself in this movie. Hope JLO is being too difficult but I am sure Alex will be the professional gentleman that he always appears to be. Hope the chemistry is there however I would be watching the movie no matter who he acts with. Go Alex !!!!!
