Alexz Johnson: Singer, Song Writer, Actress
Alexz Johnson is a Canadian actress, singer, and song writer. She is one of many talented people to come out of Vancouver, British Columbia.
She got her start on a show doing singing contests and commercials before landing the Disney show So Weird. After that she landed the role as Jude Harrison on a show called Instant Star. While doing Instant Star she put out 2 albums connected to the TV show.
Instant Star was about a girl named Jude Harrison(played by Alexz Johnson) who won a talent contest similar to American Idol called "Instant Star". The show details her journey through being a recording artist, fame, and celebrity.
After Instant Star Alexz has directed her attention back to her first love, of creating music. She has an album in the works of her own solo material separate from Instant Star. She is signed to Epic Records and working on an album that is yet untitled.

Alexz Johnson: Actress
Prior to Instant Star Alexz Johnson was probably best known for her role on Disney's So Weird. The people who don't recall that appearance almost always remember her for appearance in the Thriller/Horror Final Destination 3 where she got an ugly death.Once Instant Star came about her own star really took off. It allowed her to act and explore things musically while enjoying another love of hers, acting. Instant Star has since been wrapped. Alexz is always open to a new good script and movie, and would love to add her music to it as well, if she can. In this break between acting jobs she has refocused her attention back on music.
Alexz Johnson: Songwriter
Alexz has a great love for music. She wrote a lot of music for the first season of Instant Star, then after some time off for writing music for the show, re-entered again letting them use "I Just Wanted Your Love" for Instant Star.It's no surprise that her most influencial material of the show is also what has become fan favorites. Songs from the first season especially bare her mark like "Skin", "Your Eyes", "Let Me Fall" and other songs from season 1.

Alexz Johnson: Singer
A little bit of rock, a little bit of pop, a little bit of country...
If you've ever heard Alexz Johnson sing you're probably on a growing list of her fans. She was a big contributor to the show's music in the first season of Instant Star and then let the writers handle it until she contributed again in season 4.Her voice can do some amazing things and she since with such passion it's infectious. Her music isn't genre specific at all giving something anyone can like if you just give her the time.
From country sounding songs like "Let Me Fall" and "I Just Wanted Your Love" to great pop songs like "Ultraviolet", she's versatile and extremely talented. Alexz has even made songs that would remind you of a 1920's club singer in "Perfect" and "I Don't Know If I Should Stay" to the jazzy sounding "Love To Burn".
Her vocals are unique and versatile. Some highlights of her songs that are not hers are a cover of The Weekend's "Temporary Insanity" and Garbage's "Stupid Girl". Alexz has something for everyone, just give her a chance and you'll be hooked too.
You can find a lot of her songs from the Instant Star soundtracks. They will hold you ever well until her first official solo album is released.
Stranger With My Face
New Movie Alexz is doing...
Alexz recently posted on her MySpace Blog that she took up another small project to stay working while waiting for the green light for her album to released. This movie is Stranger With My Face. Alexz is going to play TWINS.
Double the Alexz!
It started filming Feb. 7, 2009 and will wrap Feb. 27th, 2009.
So, her album got delayed, due to a change in management over her head at Epic, and she took this movie to keep busy and keep working. So, it's good news that would have started from bad news. I know well how people are anticipating her album. I am too.
Update: Feb. 23rd
This thriller evokes the life of a highschool girl that is seen by her friends in places where she never was. Alexz Johnson, there, interprets the role of Laurie, who discovers that she has a twin.
The first party of the shooting to begin on the last floor of the library of Lansdowne.
The included scene includes Laurie and her friend looking for in the pages of a book, to discover the mystery of her twin, as well as a conversation between she and Gordo (Mirchoff), a sportsman confused by the gact that his girlfriend is interested more by the books than by him.
The team will be filming for about a month in different places as Sooke, 10 Mile Point, Mount Dog Senior Secondary and Bc Ferries.
Stranger With My Face will be broadcasted just in time for Halloween.
