Alice Programming Software

To get the most out of the Alice programming, you will probably need more than the software. First you should get the book that is meant to go along with it. This is the one our programming class uses.

Alice was designed to create a good first experience for students who wanted to try programming. It removes frustratation and it makes an easy way for students to create programs. Another nice thing about Alice is that there is no typing involved. It is all simply click and drag. The terms are very simple to understand. Overall, the whole program is easy to use, but that doesn't mean that you cannot do much with it!

First time programming can be a confusing experience, so creators decided to design Alice. The intent was to make a student's introduction to programming easy and simple, instead of complicated. Since you don't have to type a code, you no longer have to worry about syntax errors!

It's designed to draw younger students into programming. Alice is just as much for boys, as it is girls! At a summer camp about Alice, it was interesting to note that the participants were 50% boys and 50% girls. Alice is for all ages, and both genders!
