What is a Ph Eating Plan for an Alkaline Diet?

An eating plan or a meal plan is a great way to have your daily foods and meals planned ahead to know exactly what you are consuming to maintain a healthy diet. Alkaline diets and pH eating plans are much the same but you must conform to a diet that alters your body's pH levels to be more Alkaline.

The reason for this is because the body is naturally slightly alkaline but our modern foods and lifestyles often lead us to consuming a lot of foods that are quite acidic. This swings the body to a more acidic state which has been known to cause many health problems as well as a general lack of energy.

By setting out exactly what you are going to be eating over a week you can make sure you buy the right foods to cook the right healthy alkaline meals without resorting to take away or easy packaged food. Read on for more on pH eating plans...

How to Set up an Alkaline Eating Plan

Like preparing for any week you need to do a few things. You must decide what you will have in your fridge and cupboards to cover what meals you will cook each day and what snacks and other meals you will need to account for.

Firstly you need to know what foods are alkaline and acidic so you know what to buy and what to avoid. I started by taking a printed list of foods with acid and alkaline ratings listed with me when i went shopping. This allowed me to make the right decisions on my way around and helped me at the health food store were some more specialty items could be purchased. The same list is invaluable when creating tasty meals.

After you have this you need to know a range of recipes that you can apply these foods to. Many people look at Alkaline diets and foods and think that this limited range of foods and the types of foods are quite bland but with some imagination this can myth can be debunked!
There are many great recipes for Alkaline diets that can add color and spice to any meal be it lunch, dinner or even breakfast!

After this i like to write things down too. Write down exactly what you are going to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner for each day of the week and on the flip side or in a column write your shopping list you need to achieve this.
Do not forget to take into account snacks and times you might be running late though so you always have an alkaline snack handy too!
