Fitting a Patio Awning

If you have a nice patio or seating area by the back of your house then have you considered having a patio awning fitted to your home. Patio awnings are retractable covers which when not in use can be folded away and stored in its own housing on the side of your home. The patio awning is normally a metal frame with a canvas cover and is good for creating some shade when the sun is too hot to sit in directly. It will also give a little protection from light showers if needed but the main use for an awning is to protect you from direct sunlight.

There are two types of patio awning there is the manual awning which you wind out with a handle when you want it erected this is normally the cheaper option. The more expensive awnings are electrically powered and just by flicking a switch you can erect your patio awning. Depending on how big the awning is and how much money you have to spend will decide on the awning you buy, they are a great investment for your home and will make a good addition to your entertaining area.
