Please Allow Me to Introduce Myself
Who am I and why do I think that you might want to read about me? I don't, really, so if you want to stop now, feel free.
However, everybody likes to talk about themselves, don't they? Even if nobody really listens? I mean, I would love to think that I am the most interesting person you will ever have the opportunity to read about. Chances are though, I'm not.
I do believe, that I have a little something to offer everyone, even if it is one little, itty bitty, teeny tine smile or half a chuckle.
So, sit down, buckle up, hold on and become immersed in the world of me. You just might find something of interest.
Or not.

I am A Mother
My children always come first
First and foremost, I am a mother.I have three beautiful girls, and they are my life.
We don't always have much, but we have a whole lot of love, and a whole lot of fun.
I'm not the perfect parent, and my children aren't perfect children, but we laugh a lot, cuddle a lot, and simply enjoy each other.
Now, time to brag about my children.
Alexis is my oldest, and she is 10. She is interested in music and plays the viola. She's kind of shy and has a hard time making friends. She enjoys reading and is currently reading the Twilight series for about the eightieth time. She qualified to start taking sixth grade math this year and has an 8.6 grade reading level. She's kind of emotional, but then I guess that goes along with being a pre-teen.
Chloe is my middle daughter. She was tested for the gifted and talented program last year. She didn't qualify, but I'm not sure if she had testing anxiety or if she was just giving her personal best and was producing such high-quality work that she appeared to be doing it with ease. Either way, I'm proud of her. She was a late talker and participated in First Steps Early Intervention services as a toddler, and speech therapy as a pre-schooler. She has some anxiety issues herself, and is sometimes afraid to try new things because it produces such anxiety in her. Sometimes it's hard to find a balance between encouraging her to just try and letting things go so as not to cause anxiety.
Calli is my youngest daughter and is amazingly full of energy. She is the most outgoing of the three and everybody is a friend. She doesn't worry much about how she is viewed by others. She is quite the comedian and has amazing wit that can knock your socks off. Academically she's slightly behind her sisters. Due to financial difficulties, she didn't have the benefit of as much pre-school as her sisters had. I'm sure she'll catch up though, and she is really anxious to learn to read. Right now, she loves going to school, and I hope that continues.

I am Punkin
What?
You may be asking yourself who this crazy woman is that calls herself a pumpkin. Not pumpkin, Punkin.
Yes, strange, I know, but it's been my online moniker since I began playing The Sims Online in 2001. The game is now defunct, and I quit playing long ago, but the name stuck, and I continued to use it on websites as my user name.
People who I have met online, that I end up meeting in real life, sometimes refer to me as Punkin, even in person.
The Famous Punkin!
OK, not famous, but here are some places where you can find me where I'm known as Punkin.
- My Twitter Profile
- Here is my Twitter profile. Feel free to add me. I'll add anyone as long as they promise not to constantly spam me.
- Punkin's Productions DVD Authoring

- I also sell books on Amazon under my online identity. You should stop by and see if there's anything that you would like. I participate in the "bill when shipped" program and always include delivery confirmation.

I am a Social Worker
I grew up saying that I wanted to be a psychologist, at least, after I changed my mind from astronaut after the Challenger explosion.I majored in psychology in my undergrad studies, and upon graduation began working with children in residential placement.
I was a young mother and the hours were grueling, so I began looking for another position and ended up working with the developmentally disabled population as an employment specialist.
I held several positions with several agencies working with developmentally disabled folks, and am now working with children and families in crisis as a case worker.
I am several credits and half a practicum away from my MSW. I began classes in 2005 and should have finished in the spring of 2008. I had some extremely difficult life circumstances that prevented me from finishing, but I'm hoping that in the not too distant future I'll be able to finish.
I love what I'm doing right now though, and fortunately my agency employs therapists, so if I do finish, I can continue with my agency in a different capacity (if they'll have me anyway). I've discovered that I'm not the type of person who can sit in an office all day. I get way too restless, and I enjoy the added benefit of having some control over my own schedule.
Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, to all the people you can, as long as you can. -John Wesley

I am A Hoosier
Whose ear? Huh?
No one really knows where the term Hoosier came from. All I really know is that I am one.
I grew up in a small town called Plymouth, and I've never lived more than an hour from my hometown.
I used to say that I was going to grow up and live in New York City. I obviously never made it, and really don't think that I would be happy there.
I am deeply-rooted in my community and can't imagine living anywhere else.
The town I live in is large enough that you really don't have to leave town to get the things that you need, but small enough that I can run into people that I went to school with almost every time I'm somewhere in public.
In my community, the schools are amazing, the taxes and cost of living are low and there is a sense of community that is difficult to find.

There are some really great things about Indiana
- Marshall County Blueberry Festival
- Small town, large festival, enough said.
Not really. This is an amazing festival if you're a foodie, a crafty, or simply a festival lover. The aim of the festival is to provide families with wholesome entertainment at little to no cost (although I usually end up spending a lot of money there every year, it's usually to a local vendor and for a good cause). - Hoosiers on Wiki
- Here are some basic facts about the Hoosier state, as well as some stories about where the term "Hoosier" began.
- Urban Dictional Definition of Hoosier
- My boyfriend told me there were some "derogatory" definitions of Hoosier, usually relating to children running around barefoot in the dirt, but it has a good explanation of the term.
- Famous People from Indiana
- Indiana has produced some amazing people. Check for them here.
- Michael Jackson's Official Page
- The king of pop was born and raised in Gary, IN.
- Indiana Travel and Tourism
- Thinking about visiting Indiana? Here you go, the ultimate resource on events and activities in the Hoosier state.
I am a Photo and Video Editor
I started dabbling in video editing in 2004 when my family bought a video camera and then bought Adobe Photoshop at a really great price as a student through my university.I began making family videos every month, and the girls really loved seeing the videos of themselves, especially later.
I must say that I've gotten pretty good at it, and I've offered up my services to others locally. I've even gone so far as to make up a sample video to show the things that can be done.
Video editing is one of the ways in which I express my creativity and allow others to enjoy what I have enjoyed creating.
I also play with Adobe Photoshop to create fun images for friends and family. I like to make these to give as gifts and to create for my own personal decoration.
