Reading The Books From Psychic Sylvia Browne Changed My Life

Sylvia Browne's Book of Dreams contains real life stories in the book. Browne shows how our dreams influence everything from our memories to our health and well-being to our relationships.

So true. I had a recurrent dream about "ferry terminal" at one point in my life when I was facing some major dilemma. I had at least three different versions of the same idea in my dreams. I found out later that it doesn't matter what kind of terminals they are, they all represent "dilemmas". Funny thing was, after I made an effort of talking about my dreams and trying to to understand the meaning of my dreams, I had another dream of myself standing on a bus going towards the ferry terminal and witnessed that the terminal was being torn down into a huge pile of dirt.

There are five kinds of dreams;
-The prophetic dream
-The release dream
-The wish dream
-The information or problem solving dream
-Astral travel

There are lots of information regarding each type of dreams and Sylvia did a good job to illuminate the path between our conscious and unconscious minds.

After years of research, Sylvia Browne had put together 21 tenets in her book. Although they are based on the church she found, the Society of Novus Spiritus, I found that they make lots of sense in terms of understanding life in depth, regardless of your spiritual path. She included a lot of details from her own personal journey, which she feels is comparable to the quest that each of us follows to find our own God-centre.

My favourite tenet is this one:
"God does not create the adversities in life. By your own choice they exist to aid in your perfection" - If you have read some of her books, you will understand what "by our own choice" actually means. Before we came here as a person, we all wrote our own chart detailing what kind of journey we want to embark on here. The whole journey is our learning opportunity to get closer to perfecting our soul.

Besides talking about what each tenet means, Browne also goes into details explaining how each tenet is supposed to help us. For this particular tenet, she wants us to understand that "the poor me" syndrome is only bringing more negativity to our doorstep. Because after all, it is our own intent for certain things to happen in our lives. Perhaps you had taken on a more difficult chart to advance your soul. But blaming yourself or anyone else by saying, "What did I ever do in this life, or any other life, to be punished like this?', is fruitless. Browne mentioned that there are facets of our personalities that we must overcome, just like the adversities in our lives. It is truly not only what you go through, but how you handle it too.

This is a great book about finding spirituality throughout all the relationships in your life. Have you ever wondered why you are attracted to certain people and turned off by others? How come some relationships are so wonderful while others are more like hell?

Browne covers a wide range of relationships including romantic partners, all kinds of family members, the other loved ones from earth or on the other side. She goes into details about the 47 themes which are the courses of learning that we picked before we came into this existence. They play an important role in determining the success and failure of any relationships.

I found my themes and they are definitely not easy to work on. My love line is the most challenging of all among other things. God, I really need more help to improve myself!

Browne answers some of the most difficult questions such as:

- What is coming in the next fifty or a hundred years?
- The Maya calendar which predicts the world will end in 2012, so what is going to happen?
- Heard of Nostradamus? Browne will elaborate on what all the great prophecies mean.

I actually feel a lot better knowing that what a lot of predictions of "doom day" didn't come true and we, human, are pretty much in control of what our future is going to be like.

After reading this book, you will realize that children are more psychic than you think. There are a lot of accounts recorded in the book. And personally, I have encountered situations that forced me to be a believer. I knew that now my cousins' daughter was being visited by one of the relatives she knows from the other side. She was waving non-stop, smiling and staring at the corner in my bedroom one time. Though I was trying to turn her away from that direction a few times, she insisted on waving to the same spot. I wouldn't be as scare as I was at the time if I were introduced to this book earlier.

Vivid imaginations, imaginary friends and a heightened sense of good and bad are common in the children's world. But do they mean something? You will learn more in this book. It is a great read whether you have children or not.
