All Considering - spiritual blog

Ranked #14,600 in Culture & Society, #292,315 overall

I started this blog when I quit college - as an outlet for my thoughts about religion, spirituality, life and spiritual growth and self discovery.

Below you will find out what I have ended up writing about, what recent posts I made and more.

Spiritual teachers

There is a consistent tradition that real spiritual growth requires a spiritual teacher. Meditation requires a meditation teacher, just like hardly anybody learns to read without having a teacher.

But does that analogy really work?

Buddhism

Buddhism is the religion I learned most about in college. I was near a bachelor of world religions, with a specialty in Buddhism.

I think Buddhism is a great religion - and also a great philosophy. It's way of life, ethics, and doctrines all fascinate me.

Christianity

Of the world religions the monotheistic religions speak to me least. However, I do blog about Christianity every once in a while. One post I did was an interview with my grandmother about what spiritual teacher had inspired her most.

Hinduism and India

I studied India a lot in college, but for some reason I don't find myself blogging about the subject all to regularly. Maybe that will change.

In the meantime, these are some Blogsposts about India and Hinduism.

Islam and Sufism

Sufism is the mystical tradition in Islam. I'm much inspired by the subject, so I should be writing about it in future - but unfortunately, so far I haven't done too much of that yet...

Lifestyle and Spiritual growth

Lifestyle and spiritual growth are two topics that fascinate me no end. So it should come as no surprise that I've blogged about it a lot.

Generally I try and write about psychological facts and how they relate to spiritual ideals.

Theosophy

Theosophy - not theology - is the spiritual tradition I know most about - because I've been a member of the Theosophical Society since 1994. I have made a point of explaining some aspect of Blavatsky's teachings every Friday. Many other blogposts are also directly or indirectly related to theosophy as well.

The Law of Attraction or 'The Secret'

Since the topic is so 'hot' I have done regular posts about the law of attraction. I'm a lukewarm believer of that law - believing among other things that there are many other spiritual laws in existence as well.

Combined with the helpful comments from my friends I feel this series of blogposts about The Law of Attraction is quite useful for those interesting in the subject.
