All Inclusive Resorts

All inclusive resorts come in all shapes and sizes. Some resorts are ultra luxurious with gourmet specialty restaurants while others cater to travelers happy with huge buffets and beach grills. There are family resorts and romanitc resorts for couples only. Make sure you find the resort that is perfect for you.

Each resort will have their own definition of "all inclusive" so make sure you know what is included before making reservations. Most resorts will include all of your meals, drinks, accommodations, activites, and entertainment. Spa services are often not included. Some resorts have specific meal times while others have 24 hour room service. Alcohol is usually included but premium brand alcohol is not available at all resorts.

Visit review sites to see what people are saying. The resorts you are interested in might be under construction or recently damaged by a storm. You might pick up some tips about what rooms to stay in or what restaurants to eat at. Reviews are based on perceptions by people with varying standards so don't eliminate a resort based on one bad review.

When you find an all inclusive resort you like, take just as much time researching the price and company you make your reservation with. Buying your all inclusive package directly through the resort of your choice will mean buying your airfare on your own. If you buy your all inclusive vacation package through an online or offline travel agent, the flight and transportation from the airport to the resort is often included. Price out both options to see what is the best deal. Track the price of your vacation. Ask a travel agent if the price is less at different times of the year.

Once you make your reservations, keep track of the reviews of your resorts. Call ahead to see if you can request a specific room location and ask if you can make reservations for the specialty restaurants in advance.

The last step is to enjoy your vacation. Take some money along for shopping and tipping, but otherwise your vacation is already paid for. No need to worry about a daily budget. No need to worry about saying no to what would otherwise be a very expensive meal. Pace yourself so you aren't hungover and full after the first day. The goal is to enjoy each day of your vacation while relaxing as much as possible.

Top Ten Reasons To Choose An All Inclusive Resort

1.) All expenses are included in one no hassle, budget friendly, known in advance price.

2.) All inclusive resorts are located on some of the best beaches in the world.

3.) There are many styles of resorts to choose from including family resorts, luxury resorts, and couples only resorts that are perfect for romantic getaways.

4.) Specialty restaurants with award winning chefs and service that go far beyond the buffet centric all inclusive resorts of the 1990's.

5.) A great honeymoon idea with no need to think, plan, or budget once you arrive.

6.) Lots of great destinations to choose from including Mexico, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic.

7.) No need to worry about post-vacation credit card statements with dinner and bar tabs that are larger than the cost of your hotel room.

8.) Supervised kids clubs and babysitting services allowing parents to enjoy some time alone.

9.) Unlimted food, drinks, and activities with 24 hour room service at most resorts.

10.) People who stay at all inclusive resorts tend to return to all inclusive resorts. Resorts wouldn't get such a great return rate without satisfying a lot of customers.

Top Ten Ways To Improve Your All Inclusive Resort Vacation

1.) Walkie Talkies - some resorts are big and have poor cell phone service. Use walkie talkies to let your hubby now you are staying an extra hour at the spa or to check in with your children at the kid's club.

2.) Call in advance to ask questions and request the best room.

3.) Read online reviews to find out if there has been storm damage or construction at the resort you plan to stay at.

4.) Try to find out which rooms offer the best view of the sunrise/sunset based on the one you prefer.

5.) Take your own mug. Some resorts only offer small plastic cups as a way to reduce the amount of beverage you consume. It will save you a few trips from the beach.

6.) Find out if you can make reservations at the specialty restaurants by calling ahead before you arrive. Otherwise, make reservations while you are checking in to get the times and days you prefer.

7.) Research the day trips offered in advance and read online reviews so you don't waste a day going to see something that isn't very impressive.

8.) Just say no to any timeshare salesmen you run into. Three hours of your time is too much to spend when you should be enjoying your vacation.

9.) Don't binge on the food, drinks, and sun the first day. Pace yourself so you can enjoy each day of your vacation without sunburn, heartburn, or a bad hangover.

10.) Relax and enjoy yourself. Stop worrying about things and let yourself relax.
