It was the last song both recorded and released by The Beatles before the death of their Manager, Brian Epstein, on 27 August 1967, which was just over a month after the song was released.
Released in the UK on July 7 1967, All You Need is Love went straight to No. 1 in the UK Charts and remained there for three weeks.
All You Need is love was recorded at the Olympic Studios in Barnes, London not Abbey Road.

- It is one of my favorite Beatles songs. The message is so simple but unfortunately not always remembered. John Lennon was such an insightful man.
