Just a little history on beading for you

For thousands of years, humans have adorned themselves with fine jewelry. The vikings wore gold and silver armbands and chains while commonors wore jewelry made out of clay, amber, and glass. Amber is known to have healing properties so it was quite popular back in the day.

Today, current jewelry styles are suited to that of the home crafter so the styles are endless and very unique with little emphasis on society.

Beads can range from inexpensive to unique depending on your budget. Tools are relatively moderately priced in most cases. Kits are available in most craft shops for beginners. It is one of my favorite hobbies and I am currently involved in wire wrapped jewelry.
