Why Aquariums?
Are ye seriously questioning Davy Jones???
- They Are Beautiful - Aquariums captivate you with their beauty! You get to explore a whole new world of life and wonder. They are brilliant in color with dazzling array of fish...they can be absolutely breathtaking.
- You get a new Pet/Hobby - An aquarium is not only beautiful, it offers companionship with lots of new friends. Fish and other aquatic creatures make fabulous pets. They don't smell, make noise, or poo on your carpet! Pets help make us feel secure, accepted and happy. They act as an anchor or stable force that helps one cope with the stresses of everyday life.
- It's Therapeutic - People are hypnotized by aquarium's peaceful and serene nature, creating a calming effect for a few moments in our hectic lives. For example, have you ever been sitting impatiently and anxiously in a doctors' overcrowded office or a hospital emergency room waiting area that has had an aquarium in it? Here's some research. At Purdue University, researchers have found that displaying tanks of brightly colored fish may curtail disruptive behaviors and improve eating habits of people with Alzheimer's disease. From Holistic-Online.com, their Pet Therapy page outlines the benefits research have found in relation to pet ownership. They say that, "Research has shown that heart attack victims who have pets live longer. Even watching a tank full of tropical fish may lower blood pressure, at least temporarily."
- Impressive to Clients and Friends - For your office environment, a beautiful aquarium provides relaxation, education, and an all-around benefit for your business. In your personal office, an aquarium can provide an excellent backdrop for you as you conduct your business, relieving pressure, as well as enhancing your appearance as a company.
- Cost Efficient - Aquariums come in all shapes and sizes, fitting all shapes and sizes of budgets. You can create as much or as little as you want out of your personal aquarium. Aquarium Supplies are relatively easy to come by, and your aquarium can always expand with your budget. So, whether you can afford a simple bowl and a goldfish or a large tropical fish tank, cost should never keep you from having your own aquarium.
