If you have then you're in the right place. Information is all over the internet about dog breeds but research can cause a headache! So I have put everything in one place for you to finally make a decision that can bring many years of laughter and smiles. I have gathered information for you on top of my own personal experience about a few breeds that are likely to become your new best friend, wether you have a family with kids or just live alone.

Best B.F for a family with young children
The Boxer, Great with children of all ages.
1. Boxer: The Boxer is a great B.F for a family with young children. They are sweet, loving, and very protective over young children. I have a boxer named Daisy that is about 3 1/2 years old and since she was a puppy she loved playing with my nephew and niece. Daisy has been around them all her life and never once nipped at them or made an attempt to harm them in any way. I know that Boxers can sometimes look intimidating, but in general in my opinion they are the best breed out there for a family with young children.-A few facts about Boxers-
Boxers have a shoulder height of about ( 20-25in) and weight about (50-75lbs).
They have a short smooth coat. Ranging in color from either brown with a black mask, brindle (brown with black stripes) or reverse brindle (Black with brown stripes), Or all white boxers which are prone to having heart problems, deafness, and blindness.
Boxers need a fair amount of exercise but are very fun to play with and should be trained not to jump at an early age.
Best B.F for a family with older children ages 8 and up
The Boston Terrier, children 8 and up
Reason being is there very intelligent, affectionate, and full of fun.
When you have older children often times they don't want to groom
the dog or do too much handy work, and the Boston Terrier
requires very little grooming, and long walks aren't needed but can be enjoyed.
They have a good temperament so they get along good with other pets and children.
My favorite part about the Boston Terrier is their ability
to learn fast and they are very sensitive to your voice. With
that being said they are actually fun to train and will make you
laugh because they have a sense of humor.
I have to add how cute they are, I mean come on
they always dress formal, take them to your wedding!
A few facts about the Boston Terrier:
1. They are short and sweet ranging from 14-17 inches in height
2. They weigh between 11-25 lbs.
3. Exercise needs are moderate.
4. They snort and fart due to the amount of air they swallow
while eating because of their facial structure.
Sooo....if you don't mind fact #4 or can put up with it, make
the Boston Terrier your B.F Material Breed choice!
Best B.F Material Breed for a single man or woman.
English bulldog
Say that you just want a buddy to watch movies with, or in the English Bulldogs case skateboard with! The English bulldog is an awsome choice. Also, If your not wanting to walk a dog everyday or engage in alot of activities they wouldn't mind at all!, though they have been known to skateboard pretty well, for a dog anyway. They do have a problem with chewing if ignored though so that may or may not be a deal breaker for you. Don't let their grumpy face fool you though because they are normally happy and pretty funny too with the facial expression they sometimes make.A few facts about this unique breed:
1. At the shoulders they stand between 12-15 inches.
2. They are little chunkers weighing between 45-55 lbs.
3. Their actually pretty loyal and could serve as an addition to another pet in your home.
4. They love their rest and wouldn't mind a night at home watching the latest movie with their pal.
5. They do require cleaning between their wrinkles on occasion do to their wrinkles and excess skin.

- We've been planning to add a dog to our family for a couple years now and have it narrowed down to a boxer or an english bulldog. We'd like a puppy, but are feeling compelled to rescue. Glad to see that you like both breeds. At least I know we're on the right path!

- Yes indeed they are, I think the major reason for their expensive price is to insure a proper home for them. Then again you can't label a dog owner by their income because there are some rich people who don't care for dogs in the proper manor. If you'd like I could help you find a cheaper bulldog in your area, on occasion I run across some cheaper bulldogs, just a thought!

- Have you checked out your nephew lately, he seems to be becoming a dog! My granddaughter has spent a good part of a day or too being a dog. I've been wanting a dog for a while again, thanks for your personal reviews of these best friend material breeds.
