Why are Sweet Potatoes not more Popular?

I believe sweet potatoes are every bit as versatile as the more traditional varieties of potato and, if anything, even more delicious. They can be incorporated in to a great many varied healthy recipes and are extremely nutritious.

One simply can not help but wonder, are sweet potatoes used so infrequently in the West, compared to - for example - old favourites like Maris Pipers or King Edwards? I believe it comes down simply to a lack of awareness on the part of the general public at large. A great many people will have seen sweet potatoes in their local supermarket, but may simply have no idea as to how to cook them and with what to serve them. It is my fervent hope and intention that here I may change situation that in at least some small way.

Why not see what you can find on Amazon you will be amazed by the selection. I personally recommend the knives set.
