ALL AS ONE - help the children of Sierra Leone

Let's Change The Statistics For Sierra Leone
Sierra Leone has the world's highest infant mortality rate
Sierra Leone has the world's highest maternal mortality rate
Sierra Leone is ranked by the United Nations as the least developed country in the World

These are quite unbelieveable statistics, but we can all make a difference. Find out more about what All As One do and how you can help and support this extremely worthy cause.

WHAT ALL AS ONE DO

ALL AS ONE provides complete care to Sierra Leone's most vulnerable children at our facility in Freetown.

ALL AS ONE was established in 1997 as an international charity. We are a non-governmental organization (NGO) registered in Sierra Leone, whose US office is an IRS 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization and whose Dubai office is a nonprofit organization licensed through Dubai International Humanitarian City. Our mission is to respond to the critical dilemma of the orphaned, abandoned, abused and destitute, through the:

ALL AS ONE Children's Center - Providing a safe home and care for orphaned and abandoned children in Sierra Leone.

ALL AS ONE School - Working to meet the educational needs of the children in our care and in the surrounding community.

ALL AS ONE Medical Clinic - Helping to keep Sierra Leonean children and families healthy, by providing preventative intervention and medical treatment.

ALL AS ONE'S first priority is to provide shelter, medical care, schooling, meals, clothing, social interaction and love for the children in our direct legal custody at our Center in Freetown. In addition, both the clinic and the school serve the surrounding community.

ALL AS ONE has reached out to many families over the years, establishing single mothers with their own businesses and temporarily assisting with housing costs, when a family would otherwise be put onto the streets.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

SPONSOR A CHILD FOR A DOLLAR-A-DAY

War-orphaned and abandoned children need your support!

The All As One Children's Center in Freetown, Sierra Leone is an orphanage, medical clinic, and school caring for vulnerable children who need your help!

Giving just a DOLLAR-A-DAY ($30 a month) for a year will help sponsor a child and give them a chance at life.

The orphaned children, from newborn to age 16, have survived terrible tragedies or experienced horrible atrocities which most of us could never imagine. Your support can help build a better future for these beautiful children. Without your support, these children literally have nowhere else to go.

As a vital sponsor, you will receive a photo and information on a child whose life you have helped to save. You can choose to contribute monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, or make a one-time yearly donation.

Everything you give goes directly to the care of the children and All As One's ongoing work in Sierra Leone. Please join our campaign to help vulnerable children in Sierra Leone - you will literally help to save a child's life.

Thank you for your compassion, concern, and commitment to the destitute children who urgently need your help. Click the button to SIGN UP NOW for your Dollar-A-Day sponsorship.

ELEVATE FILM FESTIVAL

OCTOBER 5TH 2008

We're so pleased to let you know that the HearMe documentary film m is now finished and will be premiered at the Elevate Film Festival (www.elevateexperience.com), at Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California, on October 5, 2008.

The children of All As One participated in the filming, along with children from orphanages in Cambodia, Iraq, and a foster care facility in Watts, California. It was a wonderful learning experience for the children, and they now have 20 XO laptops (and a new computer lab) at the Children's Center as a result!

We're also pleased to be able to provide a link to an online version of the film. Check it out at www.vimeo.com/1809624.

In addition, a new website is being created that will feature the entire All As One children's performance filmed in August 2008. You can view this website soon, at www.hearmehub.com. The kids and staff in Sierra Leone worked very hard on their
performance and want to make sure they share it with you!

'HEAR ME' PROJECT

HearMe: Providing Means for Orphans to Create Music, Film and Websites
This summer, Shot in the Dark Films is teaming up with One Laptop Per Child, MagNet, and the Elevate Film Festival, to bring relief to some of our world's most desperate citizens, its orphans. Our world now has 143 million orphans, a number
predicted to double over the next 50 years.

HearMe is a program constructed to provide these children with the means to create music and film, and to have access to a website dedicated to their creations. Educating children in today's environment takes computers, communication skills and most importantly, community support.

HearMe has combined all of these elements to deliver XO laptops, Yamaha drum kits, keyboards, one Mac computer, and a lm crew to orphanages in Iraq, Cambodia, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, Puerto Rico, and Watts. Each film crew will create a
video of the children learning how to work with the equipment provided. At the same time, the children will be creating their own unique rendition of "Imagine" by John Lennon in their native languages. This video will be used to promote the
HearMe program so that children all over the world will be able to experience the joy of making music and art.

WHO PAID FOR YOUR DIAMOND?

In many African countries, and especially during the brutal conflict in Sierra Leone in the 1990's, diamonds have been linked to terrible human rights abuses by insurgent groups, who have used them to fund conflict and carry out atrocities against innocent civilians. The 'conflict' or 'blood' diamond trade has robbed the children of Sierra Leone their future.

But you have the power to change these children's lives

Join All As One, in building a bright future for the children who have paid such a high price.
